I'm finally able to come back here to comment! *22 hrs later* I love how you stand by your system but you're able to revise on the fly -This whole set up feels like a refinement/refresh/upgrade from your last year's planner as far as how you're using the spaces in it. You are a functional QUEEN, I swear. I have posties in my 2024 planner to REMIND me of the things you've inspired me to implement in my planner for next year. Can't wait to see how you hook up your notes pages. And the way you just whipped up that cleaning spread on an A5 sheet. We are not worthyy! 🙌💗
gurrrrrrl you are seriously a guru. I am constantly amazed at the systems you've created for yourself and how everything is color coded and cohesive! 👏👏👏👏👏
Great video! Taking a lot to tips that will be useful for my planner. BTW I just switched to the monthly and I’ve been using my planner daily and my productive than my daily.
That was so much fun! …just so you know, we did our planning together, and we chatted back and forth 😂 Like when you had already used some of the date dots I suggested just moving them to your new planner, and you took up that suggestion 😅 Can’t wait for part two. I am already thinking about how I’m going to set up my next EC Monthly (Jan start), and how I will use the notes pages at the back.
What a great idea! We rarely plan anything too far in advance unless it's a big trip. Most of our forward planning is something like a dental appt in 6 months.
I loved this!! I am so ready to set my monthly planner up now. I have been using a hobonichi and bought the monthly planner this time. I'm going to be using this for my daily to do lists and my hobonichi for journaling. I'm a first grade teacher and my life is made up of to do lists. :))
I love your planning style! It helps me figure out how to use my own planning by watching you. Using a plain notebook for a week to get back to planner peace and then back to my daily duo until next July.
You have me so excited to setup my EC a5 daily duo! I’m planning alongside you and appreciate all the ideas. I’m trying to get all my personal stuff in one book for one book July (work needs to stay separate and it stays at work). :)
Yay! So excited for this setup and part 2! Working in my new monthly too. I was also curious as to why there was a July 2024 in mine as well..who knows, lol.
I agree about the holidays and although I like the list of them, I don't need the notation of them on the dates they occur. (Some are so long they leave you no room to write) I ordered some bucket list stickers from Planner Kate and think I may put them on the goal box pages. Looking forward to part 2.
I use the goals page for seasonal tasks and home / property maintenance. I know you garden but I don’t know to what extent. It’s great for seed starting set up and prepping beds, succession planting, plant out and harvest information, if you do a fall garden and need to put up garden fabric for harvest extension, pruning trees and bushes, etc or knowing to maintain the AC unit at a certain time and things like that. I do a lot of canning and knitting once it is cold outside and do house projects based on season. That way I’m not planning on knitting in May and trying to paint the tool shed in January. It’s great for seasonal living is basically what I’m saying in a very long way 😂
New subscriber! This video popped up on my feed and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching your process. The way you talk things out and make changes as you go is so informative. I'm off to find Part 2 and check out your playlist.
Part 2 😭 I had my phone tell me I ran out of space when I was midway filming my video this week. Hasn’t happened to me in a while. Oh and I also forgot to turn on my mic the first 2 minutes and had to restart so yeah, when the storage warning popped up I was like 😤. lol.
Where are your sticky pockets from? This video was great, thanks for the motivation. Do you make your own additional sticky notes (like for the weekly cleaning, etc.)?
The pockets are from Avery but they aren't available anymore! I'm sorry. I get this question all the time and I think I need to email Avery and ask them to bring these back 😆 I do make my own sticky notes! I have one for monthly cleaning and one for my content creation stuff. I haven't been using them as often lately though. I have some for weekly stuff that I started to design but I didn't ever finish.
I always put my 31st up in that first week because I almost never have anything that day anyways 😂 and that way they are all together on the same calendar
I love my new planner. There’s only one thing I don’t like about it: It’s vertical and I’m a horizontal girl until I die!! You know I love you and your videos!!! ❤❤❤❤
Sorry for the late reply! I used a Cricut font in design space but I think it's almost the same exact font as Kabel. And then just a dark grey to mimic what EC uses. I dont know the size bc resized it manually.
Last year they put July at the end of the academic year for the first time. The monthly planner comes out so late, that you are in July before you have the new planner. I have complained about that several times.
Hi Lauren, here's a link to the book but it's empty when you buy it. I collect leftover stickers in it and organize them in the EC colorway. www.plannerkate.com/product-page/9x6-pk-sticker-collecting-book-50-double-sided-pages?ref=kk (affiliate)
That would be more convenient for those of us that don't need them! But I do think it's kind of an essential part of a planner (like the mini calendar) that a lot of people probably appreciate.
Hey there! New follower here! This is the first video I am watching, so please forgive me for asking, but do you have a website or a shop or can you share your template for the date sticker sheet you created for re-dating?
I'm not sure which one you mean, could you tell me the time stamp? You might be referring to my resuable sticker book from PlannerKate. I transferred all of my sticker sheets into it but it didn't come with the months and labels. Here's a link: www.plannerkate.com/product-page/9x6-pk-sticker-collecting-book-50-double-sided-pages?ref=kk (affiliate link, use KK20 for 20% off)
My issue is sort of the exact opposite of yours. I can't stand that all the EC planners (actually almost all planners, period) are really Monday start and only the monthly calendars reflect how calendars actually look (in North America). And it's an enormous amount of work to relabel every single day of the week in the body of the planner. Plus the laminated snap in dashboards also list Mon-Sun on the back, which you can't really permanently change because of the lamination. Any ideas, other than creating something totally custom?
Oh yeah that's a ton of work! I tried to redate a teacher planner once and made it like 6 weeks and never again! Plus the bumps from the stickers is terrible. I think the Passionate Penny Pincher Planner has a Sunday start on the weeks. And maybe Plum Paper has that option too?
WOW!!! What a video. I just purchased my very first EC planner and after watching this boy do I have some work to do. Thanks for the motivation.
You are so welcome!
Welcome to the EC club! You’re going to love it !

Thank you for sharing your setup. ❤❤I want to redate my monthly in my A5 daily duo
You’re welcome 😊 Redating made my monthly spread so much more useful.
Really enjoyed this set up! You’re so relaxing to listen to .😊
Aw this is so nice, thank you! 🥰
I always use the rest of the year for forward planning. We always plan far in advance. We already have plans for fall 2024.
What a great idea! We rarely plan anything too far in advance unless it's a big trip. Most of our forward planning is something like a dental appt in 6 months.
We are going on a trip this fall to Ireland to see the Notre Dame/Navy game. We have had our tickets for 3 years.
@@dmbalsam Wow, that sounds amazing!

Hi Kristan thanks to your videos I just placed my order for the Monthly planner with your link. This was just what I was looking for.😁
Oh wow, thanks so much! I'm glad you found something that works for you 😊

I watched this while I worked on my planner 😊
That makes me so happy. Thanks for watching!
I'm so excited to see you do this 😍😍
Yay! So happy you're here 🥰
Interested to see how you use the monthly dashboards, maybe I need to go find an older plan with me!
I hope you were able to find some videos! 😊

So frustrating sometimes!
I use sticky notes on my dashboards for floating tasks or appointments that are undated. I also use it for reminders that span multiple days or weeks.
Love that! Sticky notes are the best.
Where are your sticky pockets from? This video was great, thanks for the motivation. Do you make your own additional sticky notes (like for the weekly cleaning, etc.)?

Everyone getting all these extra months except me! I got the tabbed page for July 2024 with half the month calendar and that's it 😆😆
Aw man!! Did you contact CS?
@@KristanKremer No, I wasn't out anything. It was just kind of like, huh?
I always put my 31st up in that first week because I almost never have anything that day anyways 😂 and that way they are all together on the same calendar
That's a good solution too!
I love my new planner. There’s only one thing I don’t like about it: It’s vertical and I’m a horizontal girl until I die!! You know I love you and your videos!!! ❤❤❤❤
Oh no! Well maybe EC will have something fun that you'll like soon and you can switch 😉
@@KristanKremer Hmmmmm maybe. But I think I can wait and stick this one out until it ends. I just know I don’t need vertical lol!!!❤️❤️❤️
Loved this.
What font and size did you use for Monday start stickers? Thanks

Oh that makes sense! Nice of them to include that for us.
This looks so fun. I’m really going to do a budget binder like this. But curious as to why you switched planners in the middle of the year.
I wanted my planner to match up with my son's school year for planning purposes. Thank you for watching!
Do you do weekly meal planning?
I do a monthly plan and then shop weekly 😊
I keep looking for your clear sticky pocket that you keep on your back cover and I can’t find one I like! Where did you get yours?
It’s from Avery but they don’t make it anymore. I might have to send an email asking them to bring it back haha 😂
Where did you get the snap in pocket dashboard?
It’s a 3 pack from Erin Condren but they are currently out of stock. They are supposed to come back though!
I tried searching for the PK sticker book that’s the Erin Condren color way of all the months, but couldn’t find it! Do you have a link??
Hi Lauren, here's a link to the book but it's empty when you buy it. I collect leftover stickers in it and organize them in the EC colorway. www.plannerkate.com/product-page/9x6-pk-sticker-collecting-book-50-double-sided-pages?ref=kk (affiliate)
I wish EC just did stickers for holidays. Most of what they include does not apply to me and I have to white out.
That would be more convenient for those of us that don't need them! But I do think it's kind of an essential part of a planner (like the mini calendar) that a lot of people probably appreciate.

Are you using mini or standard dots on the mini calendars?
If you mean the ones at 07:12 those are mini from Black Dog Sticker Co: www.etsy.com/listing/925532671/transparent-mini-dot-planner-stickers
