Wexltrails - The WU

- The WU is a shaped trail in the area of the Wexl Trails. Starting at the Wetterkogler Haus it covers 259 meters of vertical drop towards the Marienseer Schwaig and offers loads of fun going down.
There are several ways to reach the start of the trail. The "classic" and most demanding way starts at the Corona Park in St. Corona where you take the uphill trail. One August 30th 2020 the Wexl trails offer a shuttle ride to the Wetterkogler Haus (www.wexltrails.... I took a different ascent starting at the Feistritzsattel via the Rabenkopfroute (www.outdooract....
You should be aware that there's a charge for riding on the Wexl Trails. If you start at the Corona Park, you will pass the ticket shop anyways. If you take a different uphill you can also get a ticket on the summit of Hochwechsel in the Wetterkoglerhaus. Make sure you get a ticket either way, because the whole project should be supported.

Der Trail schaut extrem spaßig aus. Gut gefahren bist du natürlich auch :-D.

Ich muss mir die wexltrails jetzt echt mal geben. Schaut ja alles megafein aus. Cool mit den ganzen Sprüngen seitlich und so. Im Wald wars recht finster. Hast du keine Autobelichtung eingestellt gehabt? Und was hats mit den karten auf sich die du dir bei der Hütte geholt hast?
Die Wexl Trails sind auf jeden Fall einen Trip wert. Den WU muss man sich zwar mit knapp 1000 Höhenmetern erradeln, wenn man in St. Corona startet, aber im Osten ist es das allemal wert und nebenbei einfach eine schöne MTB Tour. Der finstere Wald hatte mit meinen Kamera-Einstellungen zu tun, ich hab ein wenig rumprobiert. Ich wollte mit fixer Verschlusszeit filmen (morion blur) und hatte beim losfahren einen ND Filter an der Kamera weil ich auf Sonne eingestellt war. Es war dann aber recht bewölkt. Daher war's dann im Wald zu dunkel. Ausserdem hab ich die GoPro 4 verwendet. Wie gesagt, ein bisserl testen ;-)
@Karten: Die Wexl Trails sond gebührenpflichtig. Wenn man in St. Corona beim Corona Park startet, geht man eh über die Kasse rein und löst ein Tagesticket (aktuell € 9,-) . Wenn man so wie ich, von anderswo zu den Trails kommt, kann man z.B. beim Wetterkoglerhaus am Hochwechsel beim Start des WU ebenfalls Tageskarten kaufen. Da mag jetzt für einen Trail (ok, ich bin ihn zweimal gefahren an dem Tag) etwas viel sein, aber ich mag das Projekt und unterstütz die Wexl Trails gerne. Die haben im Osten ein Top-MTB Angebot geschaffen, in meinen Augen gehört das gefördert ;-)

Thx Blex! Glad you noticed the subtitles. I've been hesitating doing narration in english. But I'm no native speaker and it feels more natural to do it in german. However the subtitles may give non-german soeakers the gist of the video ;-)
