Fun facts. The excellent turning circle is mainly so that it can turn in front of the Savoy Hotel, which still has its original tight and unusual entrance which is on the right hand and not the left, so that the driver can exit and open the door for his passengers in front of the entrance (nowadays they just click the door open or the doorman does it). It also helps with the numerous U turns that they have to do when picking up passengers who want to go in the opposite direction. The vast majority of the journeys are obviously within London (they also now operate in other UK cities), however there's a law which I think still applies, that if you enter the taxi, the driver has to take you wherever you want to go! Damn expensive, as I know from personal experience, but sometimes it's the only option (this was way before there were so many all night buses and trains) So with the gasoline battery charging option they can effectively just keep going! The old taxis were predominantly diesel, therfore the switch to electric and the occasional petrol used is way less pollution.
It looks great. The rims are not really a match for the classic look, in the UK they’ve got a better design. There is also company that makes a luxury version of these
@@robertwillis4061 Doubt it, that processing is too annoying and costly. I prefer RHD Driver Seat because manual shifter is done with your left hand. Thus steering is done with Right Hand. Hello from Aus.
London taxi cabs. Good that they maintained their iconic cabs till today. Even when it's built in China now.
Wonderful. That's the way to go.
Quite sure all the vehicles by LEVC for whole of Europe will be coming from Ansty Park Coventry. It depends where the customers are I guess.
