This was my fifth roller coaster credit since I'm new to actually riding rollercoasters. Waited for this beast for 2 hours and 15 minutes on memorial day weekend. Went back a few weeks later as a season ticket holder and marathoned Fury 325. This is downright my favorite ride at the park, it's just so good.
I've been to Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds all in a 2 week span. To me, Fury 325 is just a slightly taller, slighter longer, and slightly faster version of Leviathan and the treble clef element is what really sets it off.
Oh nice I’m going to Carowinds tomorrow as well. Only ever been one other time back in 2018. Fury is the reason I’m not afraid of roller coasters anymore also was the first ride I got on when I went the first time.
I went on Fury this morning, visiting from NJ. I had a “fog” ride. The apex of the lift hill was in the fog. It was phenomenal. I think the train went faster because of the layer of moisture.
I was at Carowinds the day you released this and Fury is so good it makes the rest of the park pale in comparison, which might be the biggest downside to it! My first ride was second-to-last row in a heavy shower and as great as the ride is on it's own that experience was over the top. From getting "stung" on the face (which *would* have been miserable in the front but in the back wasn't so bad) to experiencing the second half of the ride with my eyes closed (kind of a wild experience!) to feeling the speed even stronger than a dry run, it was amazing. If you see rain coming, head for Fury, just be sure to ride in the back.
@@XscreamThrills x) i really cant complain, my Homepark is Phantasialand and Rollercoasters like Expedition GeForce, Kärnan, Kondaa or Colossos are very nearby ^^
I live a hr away from I305 and 4 hours from Fury 325. In a adrenaline junky so I would rank intimidator as my favorite ride but if it never existed it’d be fury
Agreed, I expected a B&M hyper thats 325ft but it's much more than that. Second best Giga after I305 easily. Also there is no bad row on this coaster, the front and back both have their positives and its hard for me to choose which is better
Great stuff. I have Fury as my #2 as well, just behind Steel Vengeance. It really is a perfect roller coaster. The speed and pacing are just phenomenal. I love the back seat best for the 1st drop and crazy ejector throughout. Lightning Rod is my 3, though I haven't been back on it since the track changes, nor have I been on Mako yet. Really hoping to get back on Fury this year. Currently planning out a return trip.
@@XscreamThrills I'm in the camp that has Steel Vengeance as the best roller coaster on earth. Alan Schilke is God's gift to coaster enthusiasts. Praise be to Alan! 🙏
I always enter back by Afterburn. Much more relaxed, and a bit more shaded on hot days. Downside is you have to walk quite a bit for most coasters (Fury, Intimidator, Vortex etc) Fury itself is great, though most of the intensity is contained within the first half. Love the lights at night, really elevates an evening ride.
LOVED this video so much I can afford to focus on the minor issues; 1: I can't tell if your top 5 starts w Fury and ends w El Toro or the other way around. 2) Leviathan has a better camelback (and another camelback as well as a speed hill) but Fury kicks ass over Leviathan overall. I realize that Fury has airtime in parts of the ride that traditionally wouldn't be expected to have airtime, but I still think that Behemoth, Mako, or Diamondback in the back car has more airtime and duration than Fury, but I still think Fury is a better coaster over all. I admit I've never ridden a B&M hyper or Giga but I'm planning on visiting Canada Wonderland on the weekdays during the week on the cusp of August and September 2021. Thanks for posting!
I just got off Leviathan a few days ago and this thing is flying. My eyelids were flapping and could hardly see lol. It’s now sitting in 2nd place behind Fury for best giga
I haven’t ridden this and I think it’s the most fun coaster out there it has a unique layout I’ve heard it has strong g forces both - and + oh yeah and it’s a b and m and that’s coming from someone who has ridden steel vengeance but that ride is just a blur a good blur but a blur
If you don't enjoy this ride you don't enjoy roller coasters. Great drop, intensity, airtime, length, and speed but isn't too intense for the general public.
Hey! Carowinds is my home park! Live 20 minutes away! Want to improve your Fury 325 experience...? Feet in the AIR IMMEDIATELY after feeling going down, yes on the drop! Feels like getting thrown at the ground at 95 mph!!! If you can manage to not get the bar snug enough to plant you FIRMLY DOWN in your seat your butt will not touch the seat the whole way down! Then kick up on the treble clef when you're at a 45 degree angle on the way down under the walkway at the entrance! Kicking upward over the last two air time hills is also a plus! Try it if you dare...! And please do, I am 62 and can and DO EVERY TIME!!
The way we did it with my younger cousin who was scared is we convinced him Fury would be fun! He was scared but got on and loved it! It was good because now he knew nothing was scarier in the rest of the park! That also means when we go up to visit them next we’re gonna take a trip to SFG Adventure, I’m so pumped!
Fury 325 is one of a select few roller coasters that I haven't ridden where I can see it taking my top spot away from Nitro. And out of those coasters, Fury probably has the best chance at the throne.
My only issue with fury is that the second half is slower than the first half, but is is still perfectly smooth, I have no clue where you're getting a rattle from
No offense, but why do you like magnum, it's rough, the first hill has zero airtime, and every turn slams you into the side of the car. Every time I ride it, I have a hard headache that stays for the rest of the day
@@jcspotter7322 because I’ve grown up with it, I know where to expect pain so it doesn’t hurt me, and it’s 2nd half/finale is the greatest of any coaster.
@Jose V. I like it because it’s just AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL after AIRTIME HILL of ejector. Nothing else comes close
It’s a great ride, but not even close to Intimidator 305. Definitely the best B&M hyper/giga by a mile, but can’t touch the sheer viscousness and intensity of I305.
Great coaster, but no significant ejector airtime. As it offers neither the intensity of I305 or complete synergy of layout and setting of Millennium, any superiority between them is preference. Fury somehow has intensity AND duration though. Rating system is sort of an academic exercise and you should let the chips fall as they will. Personal rating is a good complement, but for both ratings you've left yourself no where to go -- although there is maybe a level beyond which it becomes too hard to decide.
Fury delivers more airtime than any other Giga. I was constantly getting "ejected" out of my seat. Furys pacing is better than Millennium Force though MF has the better location
@@XscreamThrills Sustained ejector airtime pulls you down with noticeable force. I will also somewhat grudgingly accept as "ejector" pops of airtime that are so sudden that they are hard to judge if you would fly, typically slamming you into the restraint. This kind of airtime tends to be of shorter duration than floater due to physics, and has greater stress on trains and restraints. It is not necessarily better, but there needs to be a way to state easily when it is present, and not be diluted every time the airtime is awesome. Sustained ejector does happen on both the Intamin gigas, with moderate force but at awesome speed, and not on Fury, so it depends what you're counting. But Fury does have the best floater anywhere and there's no shame in saying it. You're ejected out of your seat and touch nothing all the way down that drop, it's freaky. The speed hills even allow perfect floater in every seat. I will note on smoothness that the pull-out from the drop slams you down hard. I had to turn down that one last ride of the night after 8 laps on it and all the rest all day. MF is a weird case in that if it was anywhere else, we wouldn't even know how good it is, because there it's just right. It's not fair.
I think you should have presentation separate from intensity, fun factor, originality and smoothness since presentation rarely effects the ride experience
I think presentation always affects the ride experience. Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake looks like its about to fall over, the ride would be completely different if it didn't look that way. There's a reason why many complain when a Six Flags coaster is a "parking lot" attraction.
@@XscreamThrills I honestly don't understand why people care. I never focus on the setting. I mean, why do people care if you're in a parking lot when you're going through a zero g roll or a 120 foot drop
