I love this plane. I flew it around the world in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and wrote an 87-page short story of action, adventure, and romance to go along with it (and that story had two sequels). I hope to see this in the new MSFS!

A great man is lovingly talking about a great plane. I know that look, seen it in many aviation zealots. Total respect.

Can't believe Grumman only built 59 Mallards, such a grand aircraft.

Grumman actually designed and built the Goose before the Widgeon.

Would have liked to see how the boarding door works on this aircraft. Beautiful airplane.

Chalks Airline used the Mallard . They went turboprop and had a good record from Miami to the Bahamas till one day a wing came off and it went down , no survivors . it was a wing spar failure , I think it was a maint check issue .

The Chalk's tragedy was the result of long term deficient maintenance. Wing issues weren't properly addressed.

Grummans don’t break. It was a maintenance issue.
