I love this Cindy Lynn! I think you should treat the "artichoke" as a Protea and colour it accordingly. Protea come from southern Africa and are a relative of the Australian Waratah - another beautiful and mostly red flower. Protea have gorgeous rich colours right through to the palest hues. Look them up, you won't regret it!
Doh! I'm always messing things like that up! Lol. I'll have to google some images and color it correctly next time lol. Thanks for the education. Xo ❤️
@@_MyInkieFingers I only mentioned this because you asked during the live. If you've never seen a protea, you would not be expected to know how truly beautiful they are in real life. soft, silky petals, almost furry! But waratah is nothing like that. You choose. lol
Watching the video after live. You make the coloring look so easy and flawless. Boy do I wish I could be half as good as you. Beautiful! Really enjoy your tutorials. Thank you! 😊
To fix the hair band, use your heat tool to bend the ends. I used them on my reading glasses that were to tight behind my ears. They looked a little wonky but they fit well.
Just happened upon you last night. Yesterday my alcohol markers arrived. Don't know yet if I will like coloring, but you make it look great. Thanks for the tips!
Hi Shawna! So happy you found me 💗 I have a bunch of coloring videos on my channel to give you inspiration. Even if you just watch them and aren't ready to dive in yet. Wait until you're really inspired and then don't ever give up. Practice makes perfect. In the end I hope you LOVE coloring! I find it therapeutic xo 😊💗😊
Yikes - missed your Live again! On the other hand, I slept all night last night, which is great what with my pain issues. Oops - don't like car stamps, so I'm glad you're using a different set. Cindy-Lynn, dear girl, most of us don't háve Copic markers ... I've been a demo for a year and have all of 3 customers (who accidentally found me because I have DBWS, so I didn't do anything to get customers), so I'm still on a budget to order SU materials - nothing left (yet) for Copic. Practice makes perfect! And that milk can is awesome. I find the tips of the SU markers too thick, even flicking is tough and tiny dots??? Forget it. I do blend totally different colors, too and love it. LOL! Dare I ask? Work harder and make one million sales - I love Lawn Fawn! Kidding! WHAT AN AWESOME TUTORIAL, girl! Thank you só much! My upline pushes all team members só much, even those who just want to STAY hobby demos. Okay, she IS #1 in the Netherlands and wants to stay there. But she does not answer questions anymore, she leaves that to the team members. Before I got that, I tagged her several times in questions on the team FB page and got nasty, snide remarks back. I wish I could leave that extremely competetive team, but that takes 3 months and I don't want to lose my customers. What to do? I do need to win the lottey, but chances are slim as we kinda already did: looking back, when we were told to forget ever having children, I was already pregnant and that time I carried almost to term - so against all odds, we have a wonderful daughter and grandchildren too. To keep her company, we had a bunch of foster children because we felt it imperative for her to learn to share both attention and stuff. We just quit anti conceptives; we had at least 5 miscarriages that we know of. The 1st one was bad: had I carried to term, my due date would've been the same as my niece's, so each time her son has his birthday (Feb 29!), I'm sad. The 2nd one was early, after 8 weeks. We had several at 3 months, they were tough to deal with, but God helped us through.
Oh, Ineke I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. What a terrible thing to have to endure. Everything happens for a reason and maybe somewhere, someday, your strength will be needed to help someone else. I lost my sister (she was murdered in 1984) and I always believe things happen for some reason, even if we don't know what it is. You will be someone's angel someday I know it. Don't stress about your team, no need to compare yourself to anyone. You do what feels right for you, and that's it! Period! Stay where you are and keep your customers and do what you need to do for them and what feels right to you. That's all that matters. You're here for you, not your upline xoxo 💗 So happy to hear you slept well too xo 💗
@@_MyInkieFingers Dear friend, thank you for your sweet answer. Although it was terrible to endure, we both are over them. We've had 6 foster children, the 1st when our daughter was 3. She stayed with us until she was able to move back to her real parents, when both girls were 12. Our daughter was born (too early) in 1985. In 1990, a schoolfriend of hers appeared on our doorstep: he'd run away from home in Israel. We were official foster parents for him for almost 2 years, by then he'd discovered that we did have rules for the kids and strict ones at that. We used to invite all Maaike's buddies in the weekends to watch video movies. Want to smoke? Feel free, but no narcotics. Want to drink alcohol? Here's a beer. Shocking? We'd rather have them here where we could keep an eye on goings on - way better than having them hanging out somewhere. Some parents stopped their kids from coming - all of those ended up getting drunk and using at least mariuana. Sadly, because of pain and heavy meds with bad side effects, I had to stop my workshops, teaching special needs young adults. It sure wasn't easy to work with them, but they always left with at least 3 successful projects. Nearly all the cards I make go to my church's Ministry. It's such a blessing to lighten up somebody's day with a card (which I hear from those who send the cards on) - and girl, you taught me só much!!! An angel? No, but I do know that both of us helped people change their lives for the better! Are we do-gooders? No, we have so much love to share, we are so blessed and truly intend to help others to get the same feeling. Long live Stampin' Up! Thank you for your words about my team. I will do as you wrote!
Love your coloring! I noticed you had two different types of copic markers. Is there a difference with them? You said you probably wouldn't update them. Thanks for sharing Cindy-Lynn!
@@_MyInkieFingers Thanks for letting me know that!! I was glad to hear you say our SU blends don't allow the flicking due to the tip shape... thought I was doing something wrong as my "other" markers do!!! Continue to take it easy as you recuperate! Blessings!
I’m totally on the “jelly roll clean up pen” bandwagon. I’m afraid to get on the splatter bandwagon because I know I’ll go nuts with it. 🤣
I have to try the rust/patina colouring - looks great. I really enjoyed the replay and congrats to all the winners!
Have fun with it 😊💗

Haha it's a shiny metal headband, I fear the heat will tarnish it, or worse burn my fingers off!! 😂😂😂

Awww thanks Judy xo 💗
Thank you Cindy Lynn on the coloring and blending tips. Never did light-medium- dark-medium-light but will try it tomorrow.
It's easy peezy and creates such a smooth blend 😊❤️
Love the colouring, thank you, now I’m hoping you are resting up, stay safe xx
Resting up... Sitting at pc working? Then yup! I sure am! 🤣🤣
Love watching you. I am in South Africa so its very early when you are live. Would love though to catch it someday. Hope you feel much better soon
I'm so envious! I would love to visit your country xo ❤️
Fabulously informative and as entertaining as always. 😘
I aim to please!! lol Glad you had an hour well spent 💗😋
Learning soooo much! Alcohol markers are hard for me.
Thank you for the tutorial. I will be watching again.
Hope it helped get you stepping up your coloring 😋💗
Great video! I watch all your videos 😁
Love the Copic tips. I learned a lot from your techniques. Thanks for sharing.
Perfect! I love hearing when someone truly learns something. Thank you for your feedback ❤️😊

Thank you for the lesson on copics
Very pretty, love watching how you put your cards together.
Thank You Linda ❤️😊
Have you done a comparison on SU blender pens and Copics?? I have been doing pros and cons on each. Please HELP!!!
No but I may think about that type of video for the future. 🤔😊
Love your coloring! I noticed you had two different types of copic markers. Is there a difference with them? You said you probably wouldn't update them. Thanks for sharing Cindy-Lynn!
The only difference is the housing. Some are the older style, and some the newer. The ink inside is the same 😊💗
