I hv a friend who's a Peranakan, his grandpa used to live in Emerald Hill but till his father he was born in 3 Room in Yishun and not that Yishun. So glad I'm not a famous person. I don't even smile at my colleagues unless we are very close. I don't know how celebrities do it, esp celebrities like Felicia Chin. I've seen her a couple of times in town during her peak popularity. She will smile and wave at ppl who smile at her de and she was all alone too.
