These thick swamp rugs are literally my favorite 😂 The mud suds look like chocolate milk! The whole video with the blue/ blue crunchy soap/ rake was so satisfying 👏🏻👏🏻
i clearly have a problem. i shouldnt get THIS excited over literally just seeing a video of a shaggy carpet being cleaned😂 shaggy carpets are by far the most satisfying to watch lol. thanks for the vid!
I LOVE the guessing game when it comes to the design and/or color of the rugs! I was thinking black first, then brown, then navy (when the blue soap was being used), ALTHOUGH in the back of my mind it looked more purple than anything once a layer or two came off.
I thought that it may be a white rug and what a marvellous transformation that would be, but the outcome was still fantastic because of how difficult that pile was to handle.
Dang man, this Video has everything good in it - from the almost black ooze at the start to THAT rollup (I have never Seen a rollup this satisfying!) and all the scrubbydoo Action! And the difference before r2 got to work and after he'd done his job was unbelievable ... Love IT ❤
Absolutely amazing loooove those shaggy rugs, can i ask you to include the drain cleaning in the video, would love to see the WHOLE process of cleaning ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Omg I LOVE the up close water shot angles at 13:13 and 13:30!😍 They’re so satisfying to watch the water flow down the rug and get all bubbly in the fibers. Thank you for another amazing video! 😊🙏🧼🧽 I rewatch videos like this one, they’re my favorite 💙
I love how you went from Thicker than Kim Kardashian to Burt Reynolds’s mustache lol. Did the Kardashians threaten to sue?? Still a damn good job cleaning that rug. You’re the only channel I’ve found that has genuinely dirty rugs to clean.
The true testament of an expert is to make a difficult job look easy and you, my friend, do that in spades. You don't have to understand the psychology behind watching videos like yours calming the minds of simple folk like me, but just know that it does. This video, and in particular Ol' Dirt, out me to sleep so quickly and well that I woke up five hours later not knowing where I was or how I'd fallen asleep. Congratulations from a weary traveller now well rested for the first time in weeks.
Man, Dirt Reynolds was struggling. There are little quirks in each of your videos that make it something new and special again. The hint of suspense as the big roller creaked like a graveyard gate, the smacking sound of boots in the foamy carpet. The slow-mo recording. And of course the blue stuff again and again. I also like the energetic scrubbing with the broom. Would you say that it's easier to get the dirt out of some very high-pile carpets because the fibres are looser than in short-pile carpets, which are more densely woven? Is it worse or better to clean natural fibres such as wool than synthetic fibres or does it always depend on the pile length or weave? And the fineness of the pile? Anyway, another great video, it was a pleasure. Thank you very much.
Hey, could you collaborate with someone who works in micro biology to do a before and after off how much bacteria and nasty stuff there was and how much you got rid of? I’d find that really interesting.
Where are these rugs being placed in the house that they get this much dirt? I feel like the rug was thrown into a puddle of mud and left to soak up the mud for three days just to do this video.
I love that you’ve started to scrape the dirty water with Lu-Squigy in these last 2 videos It’s so satisfying to see the dirty water. You did an excellent job
Love your videos, just love that camera view in front of the drain absolutely awesome watching that water & foam coming towards you , have you not thought of giving your brush a name it's much part of your cleaning process, don't want it feel left out 😊
@@MountainRugCleaningin honor of the bushy-ness of this rug, the title, and the justice the broom has served in this video.. We should call it **BURT** (or if it’s a girl Berta LOL)
The first scraping after the first rinse is my new favorite thing! 😍😍😍 I also wish you didn't cut out the first pressure wash to the top of the rug. It doesn't have to be too long but I'd like to see at least a little bit of it!
@@MountainRugCleaningcompletely disagree with this; the truth is, YOUR pressure washer is just not that effective; you need to invest in a better, stronger one. It's noisy and yet it's weak. You've gotten this feedback before. Pressure washing a shaggy is VERY effective if you have a good quality pressure washer, as seen on channels like CleanLublin, for example. They have CONSISTENTLY shown that pressure-washing the front/top of longpile/shaggy rugs is VERY effective when you have good, high-quality equipment. So, consider investing in a better quality pressure washer, with a less noisy motor, a stronger output and wider swath. Your channel has grossed enough income for you to be able to invest in better equipment at this point. This was such a poor excuse to use when countless other channels have shown the opposite is true. Which means it's not the pressure-washing itself, it's just the lack of good quality equipment. Upgrade it and you'll likely change your mind. Last but not least, the timing matters. You pressure wash the top of the rugs when you haven't even addressed the underside of the rug yet, and that does make a difference. The rug is not going to reach its fullest cleaning potential until after you've gotten the back of the rug clean. I've noticed, for example, with channels like CleanLublin, they don't begin pressure-washing the top side of their carpets (shaggy or otherwise) until they've completely addressed/cleaned the bottom/underside of the rug first. You see SO much dirt exiting the rug when it's done that way, and also visibly notice the rug becoming much cleaner. They also aren't afraid to do it more than once if deemed necessary. You do it once, VERY early on when the rug is still very filthy after only one pass of shampoo, with a poor quality pressure washer and that's why it seems like not much of a difference is made. Change up some things in your routine.
its been a stressful and difficult week for me and this video was the perfect start of a long awaited weekend..thank you for your work..can you show a clip of washing down dirt reynolds after scrubbing a filthy rug?
Great job. I am curious. What do you do with all those rugs? Do you sell them? Also, what are all the stuff you put on the rugs? So fascinating! Than you for your content
I’m only 7:45 into the video so far and I still cannot figure out what color or design is on this one. Still very satisfying to watch! I’ve got a question. What’s the smallest rug you have done and what’s the biggest you have done?
Excellent 👌 i love the humour with the hat on the machine 😅 That took a lot of elbow grease to clean that rug 😮 you must ache all over!! I hate to think how much your water bills are 😮
How is the blue soap different from the white soap? (Or the yellow soap?) Maybe one is more antimicrobial. I've always been interested in different types of surfactants since I worked for a pressure washing company.
He shows this off in another video. There's a submersible pump in the trough at the end that recycles the water through some filters into a tank. The mud mostly settles out in the trough and then gets scooped out.
I'm watching this trying to guess what color the rug is supposed to be, black, chocolate brown, at one time it look pewter grey?? It looks like a melting chocolate bar but I'm guessing it doesn't smell like one. Great video best rug cleaning.
Hi, so I have watch a few rug cleaning channels on TH-cam and none of them have ever used the blue foamy stuff coupled with that powder, so I was just curious about what it does. 😊
Wow, that rug has more mud in it than a mudd puddle would in a muddy sand bank after a rainstorm blew through this outdoor rug It has definitely seen a lot of mud that's definitely a well used all of the time outdoor rug.
Knowing that a rug is basically a dirt concentrator, and after watching quite a few of your videos, I shouldn't be surprised on the sheer amount of yuk in this one. But hey, I mean - WOW!

It's a problem I share :)
As long as it’s not a couch I think you’re good
Love the shaggy ones too 😂
Me too 😂
It just autism don't worry

I was thinking it was a deep purple or purple leaning black for most of the cleaning as well. Glad my eyes were not deceiving me.
Never would have guessed. Thought it was black through and through.
Hollywood spending billions to make movies and I'm just over here watching a guy clean rugs.
Exactly 💯😂
Right
I like the fact that Dirt Reynolds is cleaning Burt Reynolds Moustache. Feels very apt
That title is something else lmao
Great job on this rug.

Less dense rug fibres and synthetic are the easiest rugs . The shaggy rugs i do find the easiest overall and the most satisfying
I loved the marble effect of the blue cleaner on the white background❤️
I'm not going to lie James, this is probably the best rug cleaning I've ever seen, no exaggeration. Seriously, it's great work.

Thanks 👍
I wasn’t sure you were ever going to get the rug clean. Awesome job.

I have been thinking about this for some time.
My fav version of this rug! WOW!❤
Absolutely love the manual scrubbing would love to see more of it 😊
Where are these rugs being placed in the house that they get this much dirt? I feel like the rug was thrown into a puddle of mud and left to soak up the mud for three days just to do this video.
You've got some nerve to say that considering that its satisfaction
He gets the rugs from landfills and then donates them afterwards.
I had the same thought. And who would pay to have a crappy small rug like this cleaned? I’d guess it would be cheaper to buy a new one.
Try reading the channel description!!
@@trudy__taylorandjorjamummy ok!
Love it, James! I think it might be the thickest rug so far. Knew you would get that monster clean as new. Great video!🥰❤👍
Oh, this is going to be a good one. I love the thick texture of it.

You've just cleaned the void, congratulations. 🎉
The carpet rake is finally back!!
YAY! I've dubbed it Jake the rake
Oh, heck yes. I hope it's a regular occurrence. I loved that sound, and I want someone to scratch my back with that thing.

I almost can't believe that he was able to clean this one. Awesome.
yessssss i love the thick shaggy rugs 😫

They come from dumps, landfill, floods, garden clearances and donations.
