Dvorak; Rusalka, Song to the Moon. (Rusalka is "the little mermaid" & this song ranks w/ Nessun Dorma). It took me a long time to hear It & not absolutely blubber w/ tears. SOOOO gorgeous! Has to be well sung, & I don't recommend getting the entire score. The mad woman who wants her voice is horrible stuff & there's a lot of it.

There’s nothing more beautiful than opera and classical music in my opinion. I started loving opera and classical music when I was about 16 and I’ve been picked on it. Excuse me I’ve been picked on about it ever since and I’m 30 now so I’m glad you have found a community of like-minded people.

I have already listened to this twice. What a great collection! Even though I love human voice, and where else to hear it if not in opera, but all these arias are made to sound so much softer and more delicate because of the use of instruments alone. Very enjoyable! Thank you.
I missed my Met Opera in cinema, the feeling of being there and having the best seat. Pandemic took that joy away, but thanks to Halidonic I can enjoy opera still. I can recollect my experiences at La Scala, Vienna Staats Opera and Bolshoi. Thank you
The last time I had seen an opera was three years ago on my birthday. I miss it so much. Thank you for this sublime instrumental compilation of instrumental opera arias. It is most exquisite.
This takes me back twenty odd years. My late husband and I were flying form Johannesburg to Germany via Windhoek. Due to the day's layover, we rented a car and drove into the city. Late in the afternoon we had an early supper before returning to the airport. We sat in an open air cafe for a light supper before going back to the airport. They were playing Opera without Words, their playlist was based on all the operas that were being performed around the world during that particular week. We even received a program. Sitting under tall palms and and twinkling stars, listening to birds twittering, returning to roost there for the night, was pure magic.

The aria Una Furtiva lagrima is used as a refrain/motif when they talk about a Chernobyl like tragedy that befell the city Bashtarlle. I can highly recommend this 7 part series, if only because of the beautiful music, both original and existing

Those are two of my favorites. I would include 'Hab mir's gelobt' the final trio from Der Rosenkavalier and 'Gluck das mir verblieb' from Die Tote Stadt.

The aria Una Furtiva lagrima is used as a refrain/motif when they talk about a Chernobyl like tragedy that befell the city Bashtarlle.
I can highly recommend this 7 part series, if only because of the beautiful music, both original and existing
