i am a Moroccan biker and i go there at least once a year, and every time i am speechless of the beauty of my country. welcome to my country biker from al over the world
The angular faults in the rock are said to be the way the rock hills and mountains are being formed. Kids are lovely. I found some older teenagers through stones once. Could be. Jealousy or something. Understandable if one turns up with vehicles they could hardly imagine let alone own.
It just gets better and better to watch. I can only imagine how amazing it must have been to actually live it. I never knew Morocco was such a friendly Country.
Same! You hear how nice people are from those that have made the journey into Morocco, but even with that, you don’t actually know how nice they are until you witness it. You feel it, for sure.
The angled layers in the rock formations is all to to with tectonic plate movement. When you get 2 tectonic plates colliding with each other, one will tend to go under the other thereby causing the angled layers. You can see the effect of tectonic plate collisions in many parts of the world. Richy, if you like Morocco so much you should have a look at the Sultanate of Oman. I have been there twice and it is absolutely amazing. Go up onto the mountains and you can see fossilised sea creatures in the rocks. Enjoying this series.
Loving the series - I even let the videos run through. You’re right about them not having tv influencing them…and they’re not eating highly processed crap so they have few health issues. I like how appreciative and respectful you are, in all your videos not just these. Keep up the great work, thanks 👍
Hi Richy, it's Albert, we met at Xmas do two.. regarding the linear features in the rocks, they're called strata, they are form by materials such as grains of sand blowing off the mountains and settling on the ground, over MILLIONS of years they compress to form rock. You can see the lines because of the slightly different climatic conditions at the time of deposit, giving the rocks slightly different colours. They started off as flat and parallel to the ground, but as all the continents on the earth float on a liquid Mantle below the crust, the crash into each other causing earth quakes and volcanoes, these lift the rocks above and move them in all directions. It is common to see very steep strata, even vertical or 'S' shaped, because you can still see the original lines. It's amazing to think that if you stand at a rock face with strata, the layer at you feet and the layer at your head could have taken 20 millions years to form, and yet there is little if any difference the rock, showing that the conditions stayed the same for millions of years. Think of how different the earth looks now compared to 500 years ago. due to humans! ...and we have only been on the earth some 2 million years. Loving the vids, all the best.. ALBERT.
Hi Richy. I’m really glad I found your channel. I love your innocence and overall positive attitude. I’m Moroccan and I live in the US. Touring Morocco is on my bucket list and seeing folks like you encourages me to pursue this passion. Can’t wait to visit R704. Thank you my friend.

Beautiful amazing mesmerising country and I thought North Yorkshire was beautiful! The people are just totally different to us as you mentioned in an earlier ep, media and materials ruin us
I have to say I began planning my solo Morocco trip last Autumn, (it was to be my 65th Birthday adventure), I leave in just 3 weeks so getting close now. Having watched several vlogs to gather information I have to say these are some other the best - Cheers Ride safe.
Really enjoying this series, was lucky enough to tour Morocco 3 times with an Adventure Company. Bringing back many memories of a beautiful, beautiful people and country. The Dades gorge is awesome and looking forward to the Sahara, enjoyed riding there. Will be interesting to see how much of the road is tarmac next time you go👍👍😎
I´ve ridden the R704, back in 2015, the first time at night with a couple of friends, because we got lost. One of the guys was in a HD Springer Softail (so you can imagine the result...). I was ridding a NC700X with street tires. We took hours the get to the end. We were so tired we stayed the night in that little albergue you passed and filmed down the mountain. I since been there in prepared bikes and it is really amazing! Glad you enjoyed it! It´s, in fact, absolutely unforgettable.
The scenery looks like something from a different planet! The gorge's are just amazing!!!! I does go quiet cold in the desert at night something to live with as part of the trip I guess. 😎👍
it certainly was worth the wait, just bloody wonderful.after a trip like this and you get back home it must be just so hard until it all sinks in...class Richy really loving it all.👌Regards Glenn👍
We can’t thank you enough Richy for sharing this with us. I’m marking the spots for my own trip. Fun fact: The advertisement I get throughout this video is for the Honda Africa Twin 2024 which commercial video looks very much like it has been shot there 😅 Ride safe!
Absolutely blown away by both the incredible content and the wonderful human being behind it. What an amazing country and its people! Can't wait to see more from this series. Keep up the fantastic work!
Another great video scenery still impressive 👏 Coalmining underground is like that coal seams are not level they follow the shape of the valleys so they go down others go up the road ways are like roads we drive on that's how the geology of the land is ,,
An even more personal experience when you rode all the way from home. I could take a ryanair flight down there and hire a motorcycle, but it just isn't the same.
Love this video on Morocco. We didthe last two winter trips that you did, Hebrides and Shetland, not sure im physically up to doing Morocco, but like you, massively enjoy the stunning scenery in wilder areas.👌
Wow Richy this just gets better and better I’m glad you are taking it easy and making the most of the scenery as we always seem to rush whilst on tour to get the miles in, this is on a new level of touring and filming how will you ever top this, look forward to the ABR and Wildbad weekends to hear all about it, Get my name on the list for next January 😊
Richy, I have to figure out a way to do this with you next year, or two years from now. As you know, I live in the US, but my brother lives in the UK. I may have him buy me a good used bike and keep it at his house between trips. Mike
Ok, I was already enjoying this series. This might just have added Morocco to my to do list. Let me know when you are planning a trip. When you going to Utah? Make sure you go to Zion and Bryce Busy but well worth it.
Loving the fact your loving this trip. Unfortunately Morocco suffered significantly in the pandemic. With a total of 1,164,345 confirmed cases, 1,147,643 recoveries, and 16,062 deaths as of April 17, 2022, Morocco is one of the most affected African countries by the COVID-19 pandemic.
And yet another super video mate. That roadside stream reminds me of the ones we find in Oman. They are such a beautiful color blue. We often stop for a cooling dip when we see one.
Another awesome Morocco Tour video, the road and the scenery are truly awe inspiring, the more I watch your Tour the more I am convinced my next big bike tour has to be to Morocco, looking forward to your next episode.
Like I said in the others Richy, this is the best you have done. Love it. Please consider taking this 60 year old biker on your next trip to Morocco. I have never even been anywhere except Spain in my life. And very scared of doing somewhere exotic like this. Ride safe friend.
I am loving this series the infectious enthusiasm in your commentary the joyful lilt in your voice as you speak about everything even describing-8 with a smile in your voice .....my hat is well and truly doffed Mr Vida please more soon
Love this Richy, what an experience and a fabulous insight into the culture and people of Morocco. We’re booked on a group tour in September for our honeymoon (both on bikes) using their GS’s for 10 days. The reason there is a lot of police checks is because there is a high terrorism threat to tourists in Morocco, probably also why you weren’t pulled over. The people seem amazing and your experience has given us a real insight.
I’ve not heard anything like that? No sign of any hassle, or even the slightest feeling of anything untoward? No mention of this on Gov website etc? Nor any mention from the locals? Only that they always have checkpoints on every (most) village, just to keep things in check… 🤷♂️
@@RichyVida it’s on the Gov Uk website, it might be out of date though but could explain the police checks 🤷♀️ “Safety and security Terrorism There is a high threat of terrorist attack globally affecting UK interests and British nationals, including from groups and individuals who view the UK and British nationals as targets. Just do it then
You know, that had never crossed my mind. Thank you for such insightful advice dave.@@alrightdave6135

Your enthusiasm for the place is very evident. What an amazing day you had there , can't wait for the next bit
