you keep calling it a cross, when it's a mark....but how is this different at all to set braces? Secondly, colors are not a good choice as this takes away from the colorblind, and do have to create something specifically for them you might as well just use that thing for everyone, I suggest using a tally "|" symbol for black and normal mark for green. Third, negative space can be written as a continuous infinite compliment of the positive space, which would allow all the math operations normally, just like computer binary.....you would need a mark that is similar to re-entry but dives into a deeper nesting state, re-entry could work but would need rules on "peeling" (taking digits out). As for complex states, "i" is universal in math for the reductive position so you could either use a new mark and/or have a new way to encompass the state itself, I suggest a rightside facing mark (which is a left-right mirror image to the current mark) while everything under the tier would still be correctly facing.
For reciprocals, easy enough, a new score "_" mark above the parts that are inversed of 1, done. Lastly, you will need a symbol representing not only the summation but the re-entry target of what is to be summed from 1 to infinite, in order to write most of the transcendentals, or at least a lambda.
At this point, set theory is nothing more than a re-write of basic algebra concepts using drawings instead of letters....I honestly do not see the point other than to pat yourselves on the back for using proofs within the idiom space to prove the proofs are provable. Math already exists, it actually has quite a bit of symbols you can try out.
