Great vid! You certainly have a great eye for spotting the fake Pops. I would have loved to have seen you telling the vendor that they had these fake Pops for sale to see their reaction. That would have made for a great vid! I would love that Ahsoka! Then again there were some of the Spidey Pops I would like as well!

They were busy talking to some people when I was filming so I just went around the show and warned everyone I saw who was looking at pops to not buy from them. I also informed several of the other vendors.
I don't know why once you saw the fake pops being sold by the vender why you kept looking at there stock and giving them time in your video. It seems very irresponsible.
@@TheLost_and_Tony they still had some legit fire pops and John did what he could to warn other buyers about the fake pop. He is very far from irresponsible. Thanks and have a nice day!

Fun show, i like seeing the walking dead pops. Those are what started me collecting, i did not have the disposable income at the time and missed out on a lot of the high end ones so enjoy seeing them. I did get michonne and her pets about a year and a half ago 😊

I’d pick up the black box since they’re both the same pop. But hey, if you come across a blue box one for a good price, definitely grab it 😄

Not usually, most vendors I've told in the past have been rude & proceed to try to sell them. Instead I usually tell anyone I see looking to buy pops at that particular booth to beware of the certain fakes, like I did at this show.
I really need to start searching for some of these toy shows around the uk. Some great pops in this one, they defo have done some great vemonized pops, the miles the magneto, first time I have seen the green goblin though. It looks fantastic. I would have probably once’s again spent all my budget at booth one. Hahah power rangers and GOT NFTs
Out of curiosity, do you notify the vendor that certain pops are not authentic? I’m sure no one there was purposefully selling fakes, but I’d hate for someone to buy one thinking they are authentic.
Yes i told some vendors they had fake pops, and they did not care. Word spread quickly as it was a small show and it went around not to buy those items.
@@Slapshotpops at least you tried. I’d be more than thankful for someone like you that identifies fakes, for people like me that are really not sure. I’d love to see a video on how you knew this was fake. Not that I don’t believe you or anything, but it would be interesting content for future purchases.

Those fake pops are pretty disturbing. Hopefully someone wasn’t about to be ripped off. Can you speak on what gave them away and how you were able to spot them so quickly? How common is this?
I know this is a year later, but… on the blue crystal Heisenberg, the con sticker was way off-center; and on the Star Wars one, the font used in the text at the bottom of the box looked wrong. Those are the only two I remember off the top of my head, but those were the red flags that stood out to me 🤷🏻♂️
What makes it so easy to spot the fakes you saw?

The Leonidas Pop was also fake the “M” on the movies is a dead giveaway

How did you know that some of the funkos were fake?
Those ones that I called out are very commonly faked pops nowadays. We’ve seen dozens and know the tell-tale signs, like the sticker, box fading, off coloring of the pop. Stuff like that.

Between the color, lettering, discoloration, shadows and shotty paint there is a few things you can go by.
Do you think they know those Pops are fake?
Probably, yes. That’s why they’re trying to sell them. Unless they really don’t know very much about Funko, which I doubt since they have that many high end pieces.

Sometimes people buy collections that contain fakes and if you aren’t a collector/experienced seller you either don’t know you have a fake or you know and you don’t care.
