  • I had noticed a clunk coming from the front of my car recently so I took a look and found out I had a broken spring. I have never seen this happen before, but took the opportunity to make a video showing you how to replace your spring, shock, or strut assembly on a Kia Sorento or any car with a similar suspension configuration.

    Good video. Where did you buy the spring?

    I don't think there is any camber adjustment on the two lower strut mounting bolts. Their position is fixed.

    Does it need an alignment after replacing?

    Would it be easier if I buy the strut with the spring already on it

    Hi, I was not able to remove the bolt at the bottom of the shock. Can you suggest another solution?

      Heat and a lot of torque, if that doesn't work cut the bolt and get a new one. No way around keeping that in the car to do this job.

      Get an angle grinder and go at it!

    You could've lift it 2 inch put big tires and it goes pretty nice off road

    Are the AWD models the same?

      For the front yes, but the rear suspension is different between the 2

      Thank you... do you know the torque specs for mounting them? I'm looking at getting the whole assemblies for the front with 86k miles, original struts, and one broken spring.

      Did you have any issues with the stabilizer bar link

    • @sups1264
      @sups1264  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@craigfam7054 no, make sure the other side is not under tension (jacked up off the ground) if it is not the sway bar will be under tension and cause issues when lining it back up.

      So your saying the entire front end must be jacked up? Not just one side.

    You fast forward through all the work. Doesn't help anyone to learn how to remove and install
