Ooooh this is a great one, love those reedy inharmonic timbres that sneak in! And the panning! 😻

These timbres inspire a picture of brass, woodwinds, percussion, and maybe something from 'Close Encounters' (aliens, not the ARP) inhabiting a Satie composition. The long envelope tails that both decrescendo and shift in pitch feel organic and just a bit mournful, too. Cheers!

Lovely! I continually search for deep tracks of a “Krell” patch. Mostly to see what I can explore on my varied synths. I am so often completely disappointed. Especially when the basis of a patch is a sequencer of some other method that only creates some reoccurring rhythm. Nothing I’ve heard yet approaches the varied sonic depth that the Barons created. I’ll keep trying and I’ll keep searching. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your more honest attempts at a real “Krell patch!”

The Barton Krell will live on forever, and this is yet another great example. Check out my Krellberg Variations for a PolyKrell of ever expanding dimensions! 🙀
