The “I have nothing to hide” is a horrible take and extremely shortsighted
“Ultimately, arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say.”
    - Edward Snowden

Once you are hacked, you become the attack vector for all your friends, family members, and business contacts.

One thing most people overlook is the fact that if you have an insecure communication, not only are you vulnerable to compromise, so is everyone else you communicate with.
It isn't a matter of not worrying about your "boring" conversations.
Once you are hacked, you become a stepping stone for attacks on your family and friends.❗

What the gentleman said about not needing to opt-in to the reasonably safe security posture is "The" thing that should be addressed with regulation/law. It should also include not needing to opt-out of an unreasonably default weaker privacy stance with accounts/products. Consumers are mostly not tech savvy, and should not have to be to achieve reasonable security out of the box. Great to heat that point called out! Thank you! 💯

Apple is responsible for their version of RCS not having end to end encryption. They also forced Android users to communicate with iOS users via unsecure SMS and MMS for decades. They are more focused on profits of their own phones and than security of everyone. Google is working on a solution.

IPhone has RCS but may need to be activated, as my wifes did, but when using RCS from Android to IPhone is secure but if using MMS instead of RCS than yes your messages are not safe.
Android RCS is more secure than IPhone messaging which is why the EU sued Apple when the tried saying that it would make messaging less secure even though their own research confirmed EU's findings which resulted in a mon-Appley lawsuit. This was right after Apple was sued for the conforming the USB-C port which provided a significant improvement in charging, data transfer while reducing waste which caused Apple to loose their profitable crap cable selling at over $500 million ($3.50 cable price gouged for $30.00 while USB-C cost 1.50 to 12.00). You know Apple the phone that give 1/3 of the technology using technology released by Android 2years prior for almost double the cost. Sheapple....

It's not like everyone is going to use what's app, or everyone has encryption to encryption messaging capabilities. Report for the people for once!!!!!
