@@JayB-JayB appreciate it Jay and thanks for the comment. I was pretty much just buying cheap creatine for a while until I talked to them. I still think it’s awesome that they’re the only USAmade creatine.
@@JayB-JayB I tell you creatine is a miracle supplement. One of the few that I can say is truly effective. Game changer not only for my workouts but my day to day energy too!
@@equalizer2233 so mainly I'm on HCL vs monohydrate but I take 750mg each in the morning daily. Then for working out I do take Muscletech Creactor which is 750HCL + 750 "free creatine". I don't really know what the latter is but I take it for the HCL. Now I've added 2 KreAlklyn tabs as well. I also take a daily mix of arginine, citrulline, creatine HCL that I drink throughout the day. I'm pretty sure most will do fine with 3-5g monohydrate but I've found I hold a lot of water (up to 4-6lb) on it so I prefer HCL/KreAlkalyn.
Funny, I used to talk about this exact issue, about 15 years ago. I would say how I only bought Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey, as an example, because (at that time) every single independent lab test found that Optimum Nutrition was consistently the most accurate with their labeling/claims. Tests on different proteins, specifically, found that ON Gold Standard Whey was consistently the highest quality. In this last year, I have actually been talking about various supplements with a buddy of mine, and I have specifically said “it’s probably not a problem these days, at this point it’s all probably pretty similar”. It’s unfortunate to hear that these same issues are still so prevalent.
@@SkylerKingTW Optimum for sure is up there as a brand I trust. I was really surprised about their “Now Foods” example as they point them out as being one of the companies they trust as well, that their Gummies didn’t have creatine in them based on their independent tests. Really does shows that the testing is where it’s at. Thanks so much for the comment and for listening.
This is insane. It really just wants me to not take any supplements ever. I really wish the FDA got involved and started doing testing on every supplement on the market. Companies would have to pay to get tested frequently.
I'm with Ryan. However, I think the problems with "testing" and true accuracy on the label would still be an issue or at least a very expensive issue for some of these companies. Although maybe it's for the better.
@@FrankZen ha ha yes they said at the end that he was in the lab when he was recording. I did hear this was one of their first Mr. Olympia’s in a while. I’m gonna try and make it next year.

Thanks Ron. I was honestly surprised to hear a lot of what Dr. Jeff told me. A big thing to drive home (in case it's not apparent initially) is that they actually test and make products for other brands. So what they see and hear about is legit.
Yes many supplements are scams unfortunately. Positive note you have a gym monster commercial starring you in the beginning of your video that’s totally awesome
People have told me of this commercial, but somehow I've never seen this. I also don't get any cut back whatsoever about it. If you ever find a place where it's at let me know. Thanks for watching.
If you mean the brand "bulk supplements", I'm for sure guilty of buying some of their products. But after talking with Jeff and Brian, I think it's always a gamble unless they're showing their testing results. I do still buy their bulk beet root powder and L-citrulline, but I won't buy creatine except from EFX.
The EFX Creatine had really helped my cognitive function and muscle strength.
Mike, thank you for introducing me to the EFX company.
