2013-05 [HD] Gotthard North Ramp and Göschenen - Goodbye Gotthardbahn - Mythos Gotthard!

In May 2013 I visited the Gotthard North Ramp for the last time. Filmed the North Ramp and spend a good time at Göschenen. It was a cold May with sun and snow! You will see a nice mix of trains, on a railway line that will never be the same again ☹.

You were not entirely correct. It might be "goodbye", until the Gotthard base tunnel has a problem and has to be shut down. Then, our great Gotthard rail route comes back to life.

brilliant video! Love the different moods of the weather. Thanks for posting.
I used to ski, many years ago, and used the Gotthard railway from Visp to Zermatt several times - but never to Goshenen. I've tried to research online following your comment about the sad change in 2013 - but no luck! can you please help me by saying what changed 'forever' in 2013 and why you feel sad about it? Don't the tourist trains take the old pass now?
