Robert, if you drive up the toll road at Stowe, that is where the trail goes to the top of Mount Mansfield. I was up there in June and there was still snow on the top.
Thank you Robert for finally filming my Vermont home. Sorry about Stowe traffic. They only have real traffic two weeks in October while you were there, so not likely to get lights soon. It was a cloudy rainy peeping season so lucky you got a few days of sun, which makes a big difference. You never disappoint!
I've been to Vermont for fall foliage three times in the past five years and everytime I go there is always overcast skies so you really lucked out on your trip with nice sunny skies. Funny thing is I never considered taking a gondola ride to the top of the mountain at Stowe but after watching your video I might consider doing that next time.
I mentioned in an earlier comment about our "Basket" in Newark, Ohio. But I simply must add the Scenic Pathfinder Routes, numerous Native American Mounds, huge number of breweries, Ohio Wineries and so much more! Get in touch with me if you want more info! The upper ground level of the echeo museum Our office was closed to make room office space for the museum mangement. It was a blessing in disguise! As a Tupper Lake,ny native. It being the heart of the Adirondack Mountains and forever wild park.Truely enjoy your research on your travels. Personally think you'd enjoy a trip north of New York city north along the west side of the Hudson river. A stop at Mr You tuber Andrew Camarata's container castle would be a must stop! North up into the Adirondack park.
My sister worked at that first Ben & Jerry's when they first started. She would come home with comments about the flavors they were developing such as "that was terrible", or that was a good possibility! Luckily they found a lot of great flavors!

In my humble opinion I find this behavior rather annoying. Possibly when editing your videos you’ll be more aware of this negativity and edit it out as we can’t fix what you’re annoyed with. 🤷🏻♀️

I moved to Seattle from Vermont 20 years ago. I miss the small towns and its people. Vermonters are so friendly. When I moved to Seattle, I noticed people weren’t as welcoming, and seem to keep to them selves more often. Great video! Northeastern part is great when viewing colors. It’s a hidden gem
The narrow road and the boulders on Smugglers Notch road are all part of the attraction to the road. Don't want to change the character of it one bit. Makes you slow down and enjoy the beauty of it and we love it!

This year was very dry for fall foliage. Looked dead from Rutland County's end. Very humid weather. When it reaches it peak, the views are breathtaking when there is moisture and the weather is cooler. Hope you do another trip exploring Castleton, Manchester, and Rutland. Bomoseen State Park, Lake Saint Catherine State Park and Half Moon State Park are very accomodating for your RV. One area you should check out if you're in Western Rutland County is the Hubbardton Battlefield along with the Tacaomic State Park. The view from the top of the river fall overlooks all of Castleton/Hubbardton.

I've been a subscriber for many years. Thanks so much for the great job of covering my home state. I purchased my first RV from country camper and have sold two through them on consignment. I grew up in Waterbury and worked many years for Ben&Jerry's before retiring and hitting the road full-time. I was one of the guys on the development group for the Ice Cream graveyard and road snowmobiles in the field that is now the factory. And after they close the road for winter, I'd trained my sleddogs on the Smugglers Notch road. Our home base is Silver Springs Florida now. We're currently in Yuma for the winter, but will return to Apple Island resort in South Hero Vt. on Lake Champlain the spring of 2022. Robert, again thank you for doing such a great job covering our tiny little state. Safe travels hope to see you down the road.
Robert. Thank you for the videos of Vermont. I started my 42 year career as a Nursing Home Administrator and took my initial licensing exam in 1982 in the State House in Montpelier. I have enjoyed your you tube videos so mush i am planning to start a you tube channel.
My family are 9 th generation Vermonters. I love my state. Montpelier is the only capital in the US that doesn’t have a McDonald’s. It’s a beautiful state.
He mentions Vermont Country Campers. I happen to know the owner. He used to work at the same company I did. Lane Gregoire is a great person and is someone who is very trustworthy. I would recommend his store to anyone.
You know if you're not going to show people you eaten and show people the type of food it is stop showing it all you doing is just riding around and showing people that you driving if you can make the experience about food and sightseeing make it
Great video of the gondola ride. Have driven up the toll road to top of Mt Mansfield and hiked the last little stretch to the top but have never done the gondola. The trail to the top goes from the parking area at the top of the toll road.

Summertime there is a sunset dinner cruise on the ferry from there at Perkins Pier which is really fabulous being out on the lake at sunset!
