If you don't buy the cheapest junk, it's not that expensive 😁 even though it's an old car and the design is a few years old, it's still beautiful and a head turner today. The mistake many people make is to buy a cheap R8 and think that the maintenance and spare parts are also cheap. But it's the opposite, the spare parts have become more and more expensive over the years.
I’ve just sold my v8 manual gated. Sorry SCC but even though you said the garage that did the work for you wasn’t a paid ad, I paid £460 for oil service like yours and issue on rear hand brake calliper’s and pads was £2400. We don’t all have access to this garages that charge mates rates. Great content though and I’ll continue to watch SCC 👍🏻
There were no mates rates sadly! That was only the cost of the labour I listed off in video when talking about the service. I believe the oils, filters etc. added up to around £270 on top of that. Thanks for watching! Very much appreciated
Great to see you closing in on 50k subscribers. Very well deserved.
Thanks mate that is very much appreciated!
Mate I’m clicking to see your video I can’t afford a dust cap on an R8
When did you decide to give up in life? Im just wondering because you sound so pathetic.
Culross! Nice video Its nice to see another person in the same area as me. Keep it up!
Great vid and your honest opinion! Awesome content
Would love to hear more about your Ferrari 360 experience
Touchy subject 😂 I will add a video to the list for you buddy 👍🏼
Expensive road tax @ £735 & group 50E insurance group... Shame the powers to be are pricing us out the Performance car market... Good video 👍
V10 engine I’m not surprised at all 😂

Great video, honestly my biggest expense with the LC is tyres! Especially replacement ones that get nails in them. Nearly £400 a time (each)
What tyres are you getting? Continental sport contact 7s are about £260 per corner… I know tyres brands are preference to your driving.
@@redemptionx2918 Bridgestone Alenza is what I bought. It was £397 a tyre to be exact
@@redemptionx2918 Lexus LC 500 rear tyres as a fyi
What size spacers did you end up fitting?

I believe he was just talking about the handbrake pads which are MUCH cheaper than the actual rear brake pads that you had changed
I’m confused as to why you didn’t include the full cost
I did… £982.03 was the full cost. I just didn’t itemise the parts for the service (oil, filters, washers)
Pads are fairly cheap on the R8 first gen. You can get Brembo fronts for £150. To change the brake pads takes about 20-30 mins per wheel!
God knows how the service cost £180, parts and the good oil cost £200+ alone
I wasn’t very clear in the video! That was plus the cost of oils, filters etc!
Great video, (edit, stop worrying about the light in the camera shot).
Just wondering what you do for a living that you can afford these cars? Surely its not just a YT channel?
He's a male gigolo IIRC.
OF ❤
Damn I was just about to buy one
Sounds very cheap. 180 hardly pays for the oil alone here in Sweden. Is that incl labor?
Cheap ownership? Only if the gearbox stays intact LOL! (Gen 2 I must admit).
I was just about to comment… I had a mate this happened to then realised who was commenting 😂 felt rotten for you that day!
His Scottish accent is as thick as the car rear tires
