Brilliant! Thank you for this interview and video so much. I love listening to Peter Capaldi (he's a genius actor! and such a wonderful person💖), Michelle Gomez (love her Missy!) and Steven Moffat.
Sometimes I don't always like how Steven Moffat writes an episode but I reckon that the 11th Doctor was already fantastic and the 12th one is awesome. I really admire his work now (plus with his work on Sherlock - waw !). At first it was a bit difficult to identify with Clara, now when she goes I will really miss her !
I wonder at what point during ComicCon do they get tired of answering the same questions for different reporters and panels. Some of these questions I just watched on the NerdHQ panel and then also saw at the Hall H panel (a video, not live in person sadly). The, 'will there ever be a female doctor" question must have been asked a dozen times already. Heh. It has got to get tedious for them after a while, I would think. Super excited for the next series though either way.
Hmmmm "There's been lots of great moments, there are a couple of classic monsters that I've got to work with and one in particular in a very special way which will make you, um, have to think carefully about regeneration."
so it turned out to be the Daleks right? or, the Time Lords?????? no. He's talking about Davros and the way Davros stole his regeneration energy right? 'Cause it wasn't Zygons. And the rest were all new monsters.
So the weeping Angels touched the Doctor who then spent his days in ancient Rome? That's why he regenerated into this face? Since that was actually him in Pompeii? That's what I gathered from Peter "choosing his words very carefully" here.
Nope. Choosing words very carefully is basically saying "butterfly affect". The smallest phrase could make a huge change in history. The doctor chose that face because it was important to him. It reminded him of the family he saved instead of leaving behind. That reminder is what keeps him saving people
The best part of this is when Michelle looks at Moffat at the end - "that wasn't too much, was it?"
Looks glorious.
Peter, Michelle & Jenna have produced pure gold so far. Especially Peter.
You could practically see Peter steering through the word minefield in his mind. Saying interesting things but so carefully vaguely.
Michelle Gomez

Michelle and Peter are my actual faves.
