a lot of people who practice MMA and Brazilian Jiujit-su and muai thai say that they are the best martial arts... but it is easy to say that, when you only use your martial art in a ring to win a contest, instead of trying to kill your oponent... many other martial arts have strikes focused on killing your oponnent, hitting them in the eyes, the testicles, the neck... things that are all prohibid in a MMA fight... it is very easy to consider your martial art the best when you're not allowed to acctuly try and kill the other guy with it... i would like to see how they would fair agiasnt a kung fu practitioner in a real life scenario wighout rules... they would come out wighout eyes, wighout testicles and with a broken neck.
Any martial artist can say they can kill someone with their attacks because they're not actually killing anyone. At least with combat sports you can reliably test what's effective, even if only within the sport's rules. If someone can prove their attack can kill someone, either by actually killing people with it in combat or replicating it accurately, I'll be inclined to believe it. But just because someone says something works doesn't necessarily mean it does
