I think you can use regular duct tape. It's only there to disrupt connection with the deffective parts or something like that. It's not as good as a new TV but it's pretty close and cheap to fix.
Many videos on TH-cam just for manipulating things but following this video it helps me to fix my tv, now it is working fine my LG tv webos model number is different than yours but It looks like display paths are similar in all models thanks sir 🤠🤠🤠
Great job man. My 49UH770 started behaving same way. Your solution worked. It was second one ribbon and taped out aprox. 10 pins from the centre leaving first three pins uncovered.🥰🥰🥰🥰

Writable Invisible tape with dispenser is what I used . I just have to keep putting it in different stops until you find what works

Wouldn't putting tape on the the ribbon cause it not to make a good connection and not work?
The tape is insulating so there is no connection at all. Not sure why that would work but it did work on mine.

How did u count such small lines, what size should be the tape?
