We’ll be talking about long couplers, we’ll be talking about cock valves., Do you find that funny Butthead?? But overall we will be talking about acceleration!
The old girl threw us a loop that Aug 3 afternoon. Kicking low oil. In shop now. Filters and strainers plugged. We are replacing filters, cleaning the strainers and filter tank housing. Crossing fingers that’s it.
Thank you for this short video of the Southern Railroads 8202. I enjoyed the ride and how various entities have helped to restore it. (Posted 19 August 2024 at 1514 CDT.)
Never gonna give up a classic. Though since I live near the BNSF red river subdivision line I only get the BNSF. Sometimes some foreign power like NS and even more rare a csx or cp locomotive on it. I do have a museum in Wichita Falls Texas but none of them run. The museum has a Burlington Route steam locomotive and a lot of passenger and mail cars that used to be part of the Wichita valley railroad that came from Wichita Falls to where I am in Holliday Texas.
Charlie, thanks for this interesting video about a type of engine that is slowly disappearing! Great production values, as always. Please keep them coming!
You should definitely vs Branchville SC in the near future, they got an old southern caboose there and the old southern depot too! They got NS trains flying through the curve at 40 mph or 37 I think definitely one of my most favorite railfanning spots
Great videos brother can you do a video of SAN DIEGO AND IMPERIAL VALLEY RAILROAD they are based here in San Diego California I would love to know the story about this company
567 and 645 power assemblies can be swapped so it’s more than likely running 645 internals especially if it lasted past the late 70s in class 1 service
If I was visiting the southeastern railroad museum in Duluth Georgia and a employee allowed me to ride in the cab of the train engine that's in the video I would spend the whole day driving that engine
Well, if Butthead is there, then where’s Beavis?
😂
Most underrated comment lol
@@mdnsubdiv thx
High hood

"Today we'll be talking about *SOUTHERN RAILWAY 8202* !!!"
"You think that's funny Butthead!?"

“I am HORNholio” 😂
This channel has such high production quality. The thought pops in my head every video
I’ve actually been in the cabs of two of those engines; SW7 8202 at the SERM and SW1200 606 at TVRM

I'm sure you'll get her running again!
Check viscosity in staybolt seconds.
Your videos are absolutely the best. Content, camera work and dialogue are superb!
Editing is top notch. Keep up the good work!👍🏻
I really appreciate that! Thanks
Last summer I rode in the cab of 8202 and sounded the horn!
2:01 That's me walking next to the train! I was the conductor that day at the museum
Awesome video! I been watching all of your videos and there AMAZING!

Thanks for watching!
the fact that 8202 literally just stopped working on the same day 😂
It’s Safe to Say that Not many people can Say they got to Ride in a Butthead Locomotive. Thanks for Sharing the Trip, Charlie. 🤔👍🙏
The SW7 switchers are my favorite engine. They are basic power yet capable.

Good to see a green Southern unit still serving the South.
Charlie, you're the Bill Nye of trains!
Thanks!
The Union Railroad in Pittsburgh still uses SW7/SW1500 switchers for their main power.
The radiator shutters are really neat. Moden autos use them now. What's old really is new again
I love the Southern Railway
Great video Charlie. I wasn't aware of the museum in Duluth. I'll have to check it out.
Thanks! It's worth a visit!

I love your videos about railroad safety and your reviews of train engines keep up the great work
That Alco gauge was a nice touch to say the least.
SHUT UP, V12 UPLOADED
Nice job, as always, Charlie.
Thank you!
It’s me again, love your vids
Thanks!
Retired engineer here ..... never heard of a butthead locomotive.
Very cool! TY! Just made my list.
A few weeks ago I saw a slug set sitting in a siding at the frosty caboose.
Jetta's mom gets a new job at the one of them island stores

I like taking The Southern from Southampton to Brighton.😮

Butthead is really a good switcher locomotives ngl
Cool video!
I love it
Sure does blow alot of gray/light blue smoke when throttled up..is that from unburnt fuel or lube oil burning
good video thanks
Sweet❤😊
Where can I send you photos of these types of engines still in use.

This engine is fairly stock believe it or not. It still has its original 12-567A. With the water deck and everything.
Is that in Memphis @ 6 minutes? Looks very familiar.
yes i think so
Cool.

The museum will sell you a ticket for a cab ride, but you don't get to operate the loco.
@@gregorywells7905 it would've been pretty nice if they allowed you to operate the locomotove
@@jacobdubielak Unfortunately, the short length of track SRM has to operate on will not allow that to be done safely.
@@gregorywells7905 true

Hi cHARLIE DID YOU GET MY COMMENTS?
Thank you, that was excellent!
