- Building upon our new Geometry Dash Ship mode, we now add Scroll Rails to our Scratch Games: A horizontal camera lock with a floor and ceiling to wall us in. To conclude the ship game mode we also add another new portal to switch us back to Cube mode again! What next? #scratch #geometrydash #ship #portal

Saw both bugs and squashed, also added the cube portal when I saw it in the assets before this episode's release! Definitely looking forward to episode 9 with scrolling background! Maybe ball gamemode as well? Or upside down portals? Great tutorial as always!

what would happen if you go into the bottom of the portal, so that the portal hitbox doesn't touch the portal at the start?

But seriously, amazing episode Griff! I couldn't find any bugs except for one. When you hit the ceiling or floor in the ship gamemode, you immediately point straight forward instead of gliding to that direction.
And we're still waiting on that unboxing video!

Idea: portal particles and reversed gravity mode
Really cool video, when you could go vertically forever with the ship,, it reminded me of the free fly mode that will come soon in the long awaited 2.2 update, pretty nicely explained, understandable, keep up the good work 👍

Will you ever show us how to do sprite detection instead of color detection? Color detection can be quite limited, but I get why you didn't show sprite detection because it would be very tricky for beginners to figure out how to structure levels. I wonder if there's a good workflow for creating levels with multiple sprites.

It’s simple for constructing levels you can first construct base level and then separate level and danger into different sprites checking for level collision and danger collision instead of Colour detection
@@stickmandhruv9270 That's what I do, but, I can tell that some people have a hard time with that and they usually make very simple level design with that. Since geometry dash uses a grid, you could make a grid level editor but griffpatch already made 2 tutorial series using that! I wonder if it's possible to drag and drop a level editor sprite from a previous tutorial.

Love the tutorials so far! I would love the a tutorial for wave game mode too.
Also a quick note, in Geometry Dash when in ship mode you accelerate up, more particles shoot out and they are a reddish color.
You should try adding that to your project :)

I love your videos! Maybe next video could be new text engine episode? Still can't figure out how to put text in a corner with 50% size and then text in the middle of the screen 200% size at the same time showing. And we also want those text effects you talked about, now that would be exciting. Btw I saw ppl also requesting for more raycasting episodes, even tho I am not following these, you should listen to them, so maybe next episode text engine and then next 2 episodes GD and then the next one raycaster?

Hi, i finished the full tutorial, i hope you make the part 9. Also congrats on 300k!
