I just realized and was literally JUST saying this to my wife, one piece first dropped on July 22nd 1997, and it’s coming back after this hiatus on July 24th 2022. Almost exactly 25 years from the first saga to the last saga and that’s pretty cool to me honestly.

Luffy's bounty is definitely low, but seeing the Elders upset about the name not being changed and the picture being used I feel like that is entirely on purpose, because they don't want to give him a bounty that would reflect his actual threat to the World Government.
i'm extraordinarily disappointed with luffy's bounty.
it objectively should be way higher than kid's and law's bounty.
there is no universe where it makes sense that they're the same.
also, ryokugyu is in WAY over his head.
he's about to get humbled REAL quick.

He beat Kaido! They could have given him 4 billion and noone would assume it was anything to do with his «D» or secret power. Everyone in the One Piece world would agree that 4 billion would be justifiable
@Eupo , if Green Bull is there on Wano to murder Big Mom and Kaido along with most of their troops than just means that that Luffy, Law, and Eustass Kid takes him down resulting in Luffy getting a 4 or 5 billion berry bounty placed on his head, and Law and Eustass Kid getting only getting 4 billion berry bounty placed on their heads, and considering that the Gorosei wants to remove the D from Law’s, Luffy’s, and Black Beard’s Wanted Posters permanently than that means that even if Akainu and Imu Sama don’t want the Gorosei to remove the D from those wanted posters than that just them more reasons to do considering that Luffy, Law, and Eustass Kid taking down two Emperors of the Sea and an Admiral of the Marines just gives the Gorosei to do freely as they please even if Akainu and Imu Sama are against it completely.
The entire world doesn’t know what it took to bring down each emperor, only that both fell. So yeah it’s evenly distributed between the they’re captains.

The other thing I want to note about Buggy becoming a Yonko is just like when he became a Warlord. Buggy becomes the next big thing just as it becomes irrelevant, and always a step behind Luffy, pulled in his wake. Basically, when we first met him, he was a pirate, and basically failed his way into sailing the grand line after luffy kicked his butt. Then, after Luffy basically proves that he's stronger than any individual warlord (outside possibly Mihawk, but there was never a chance that Luffy would directly fight Mihawk), Buggy became a Warlord. Now that Luffy has surpassed any of the other Yonkos, then Buggy becomes a Yonko. Its a sign that its no longer relevant. A Joke. Watch him become an Admiral next, once Luffy has all but destroyed the Navy.

Idk if I'd go as far as to say that the Emperors are becoming irrelevant? There is still Shanks and Blackbeard, two of the most important characters in the series. Plus, the title of Emperor is still a relatively reliable name to indicate who are important figures that can lead characters closer to finding the One Piece. (Except for Buggy).
The warlord system did include some strong characters, but it's main focus had nothing to do with the One Piece. It was more about political control

I still feel like the Sunny is Pluton, or at least based heavily enough on the original design that it essentially is now. Oda loves hidden in plain sight foreshadowing. Having someone who's seen and then destroyed the blueprints turn around and make a new ship normally would be an immediate red flag but it's kept in the conversation like it still exists elsewhere. We could easily get a scene with Robin and Sukiyaki where he explains a mistranslation of "Pluton is in Wano" to "Pluton will be in Wano".
this would be the best case for a mind blowing opening to the final saga.

no, pluton originally exist. the blueprint's purpose is to encounter the original pluton.
@@katanime619 yes it originally exists, though the blueprint exists because it was originally made on water seven during the void century, iceburg kept the blueprints in case it was needed to make another in case nico robin was like it was portrayed by the world government wanting to use the ancient weapons and uncovered the original one.
I feel like every weapons are in fact person. And that the "ship" Pluton is a decoy passed down generation in waterseven in order to prevent any death in the nerfertari familly. Maybe Ryokugyu could be reasoned with diplomatically. Momo, as ruler of the Wano country, could confront Ryokugyu and tell him that all Wano exports of sea stone would be stopped if he continues to trespass across the closed borders of the country (or attack anyone from Wano). This might stop Ryokugyu, as he would perceive this as something Akainu wouldn't want.
This may give the pirates some time to get out (assuming they don't want to have another massive fight with Wano civilians close by), and would give Momo another moment to exert his authority as the new ruler of Wano, before the ark ends.
Ryokugyu may be strong, but he isn't able to take out an entire country of samurai singlehandedly, even when they don't have the backing of the Straw Hat, Kid, or Heart Pirates; so he would be crazy to call Momo's bluff regarding the sea stone exports, and continue his attack.
Nahh ryokugyu is able to destroy wano currently. Every single one of them is currently injured/recovering. Which is also why ryokugyu was able to defeat the likes of queen and king.
Also his devil fruit is suited for multiple enemies. Since he can absorb anyone with his devil fruit and his plants are likely to fight in his stead.
At most only negotiation and threats could work and would only stalk him.
@@sanjuansanjuan4023 its been an entire week since the war. Yamato, sanji kid and law are relatively fine at this point. Only argument is zoro and luffy are still injured. The others were just exhausted and didn't have any extensive injuries. Also the entire strawhat crew aside from the top 2 are in good shape.
It can also be argued that since king and queen are in udon they could be prisoners in which case they are in seastone cuffs most likely.
@@sanjuansanjuan4023While I agree that the Admirals are extremaly strong, if it only took one strong guy to take down the entirety of Wano, then Kaido would've never bothered establishing his control slowly and subtely, and never bothered with Orochi in the first place; as he would've just instantly conquered the land. One of the reasons Odin and his Scabbards were unable to take back Wano was because Kaido had amassed an army in his absense, which allowed his control to spread throughout the entirety of Wano simultaneously.
Besides, if Ryokugyu destroys Wano, then who is left that can expertly forge the sea stone? Afterall, it's a skill that has only been displayed by the people of Wano; this makes the Wano people almost as important to the World Government, as the Wano resources.
Eitherway, currently he does not see the Wano people as his target, and shouldn't see the benefit of risking the World Governments already shakey relationship with them, so if the pirates are able to make themselves scarce quick enough, then no conflict will be necessary, meaning that no matter how strong Green Bull is, he might not end up fighting anyone. (But idk, I do kind of want to see him flex a lil bit tho 😭)

Really hoping Usopp is going to get some time to shine against Aramaki the Green Bull since Boin Archipelago could be used to prepared him for this specific devil fruit. He spent two years training with killer plants that could attack from potentially anywhere.

One thing to note is that narratively, buggy being a Yonko makes sense seeing how that would make Alvida a Yonko commander leading to her (more than likely) getting a buff in the process. It makes more sense for Coby to capture her now with his power increasing as well.

a few years ago i heared that oda has gone on record and said that one of his favorite one piece villain is Buggy and as such he has gone out of his way to give him more chances to appear in the story then what he had originally planned to. when i first heard this i thought it was nice but didn't think he would be able to do much more with buggy, but i was so wrong and i'm really happy i was, love buggy and is so happy with what oda has manage to do with him, cant wait to see where his story ends up.
I have the theory that Buggy's fruit is actually kind of a twin fruit to Luffy's because, if you think about it they are quite similar in that both have crazily cartoonish properties (turning everything and yourself bendy, inflating yourself for Luffy and surviving the worst dimemberments like nothing happened for buggy are all very Tex Avery cartoonish). Also while Luffy is immune to blunt attacks and weak against cutting ones it's the exact opposite for Buggy. I really think there might be more to Buggy's DF than we think.
I totally agree, I've been thinking there has to be more to Buggy's fruit. I remember first time watching and thinking it sounded kinda opposite to Luffy's. But at the time it was the first fruit we had seen aside from Luffy's itself.

Buggy's fruit so underrated. Imo, it is one of the best fruits one can have. As far as we've seen, buggy can be cut an infinite amount of times while retaining these cuts. In other words, with enough cuts and future sight, one can achieve a mochi-like psuedo logia form. Sure, there is a range limit, but that doesn't matter when you can't get hit. Hope this changes the view on the Bara Bara no mi.
I really hope King does not die there. Since the flashback of Kaidou I was really curious why King wanted to meet JoyBoy and now that we know JoyBoy is Luffy, he could meet him.
Probably they will die, since the story needs to wrap up and go into its final saga/arcs. Same reason why Kaidou and Big Mom will not reappear. We still have Imu, the Gorosei, Buggy, Shanks, Blackbeard and the one piece left :)

I've said this in a couple of other places, but Buggy's new status made me laugh for a solid 4 minutes. Its just, absolutely perfect.
Basically my view on Buggy becoming a Yonko was the same when Luffy was declared one after Whole Cake Island. Buggy could be a Yonko on paper but not in pratice. However where Luffy eventually proved he was worthy of the title by leading a group that defeated not one but two Yonkos.
Buggy is just going to keep being Buggy. Riding this train he is on until the end as I do not think he can get off anymore even if he wants to
I agree with you. When Luffy was given the 5th emperor title people kept on saying he wasn't ready due to his strength but when Buggy gets emperor status everyone is ok with it. Don't get me wrong I like Buggy but him being an emperor brings down the emperor hype.

We don't know what happened outside Wano. We are in for a whole lot of surprises when we leave, which I'm not sure when. Buggy would have def. done something crazy like at Marineford. There may have been a Warlords vs Marine war. or the Revolutionary army vs Marines. Whatever happened, I'm sure Buggy was just at the right place at the right time.
Also it says Buggy the genius jester, which leads me to believe that something Buggy did coincidentally might have given some huge and unexpected loss to the Marines and the World Govt.
@@NewilynJ Luffy pretty much destroyed the warlord system, invaded every major WG stronghold, punch a celestial dragon and defeated a emperor alliance. Buggy would have had to pull some sort of miracle to match Luffy’s actions.
I like Buggy but him being an emperor is a bit much. But like I said before this is just my opinion.

2. during WW2 Yamato was a Japanese naval battleship I believe Yamato has connections to Pluton and perhaps Onigashima was originally named Pluton

why would the Klabautermann man of Pluton try to kill Zoro? 10:40 fun science fact: photosynthesis is only used as energy creation within plants using photons from sunlight. The roots are what absorbs nutrients and such, as depicted by the roots on the admirals arm. If these biological processes are applied to ryokugyu's devil fruit then he will have incredible stamina, possibly rivaling luffy's.

9 God Dfs and 9 D bloodlines. Destiny and inherited will leads them to each other. When the 9 god fruits appear with the 9 D bloodlines and eventually awaken through trauma, Joyboy shall apear and after 800+ years fate will be as predicted. Law is from a family of doctors and after his family died and his BL awakened the OpOp fruit resonated and eventually made its way to law. The God fruits are the first 9 DFs. All other dfs are descendants. Law the Dr got the perfect fruit for him. A doctors room that he controls all laws within. Enel, BB, Luffy, Law, Buggy, Zoro(Asura), Chopper, and.... are all D.s and God Fruit or BL users.
Ryokugyo’s ability reminds me of the 10 tails from Naruto when it was attacking the Allied Shinobi Forces sucking chakra out of people turning them into prunes. just so brutal

I actually let out a bit of a sigh relief when I found out buggy was an emperor because it means that at most we only have to deal with 2 emperor's now And with the warlords being disbanded we don't have to worry about them either when facing off against the government.
I don't know... Buggy D. Clown has amassed a powerful fleet and has the ability to turn any situation into a win for himself so he may pose a threat

I believe one of the reason that luffy didn't get a bigger bounty because the world government doesn't want to reveal the truth about nika, so they gave him a justifiable bounty not factoring the fact he is nika

My guess is that Buggy ymade upgrades in his bomb and went nuclear, now he is a good threat. It is also possible that he awakened his fruit and can now take enemies apart somewhat like Law can, that would be absolutely broken.
I don’t think he awakened. I think his escape from the Marines garnered him a lot of reputation so he now has this massive fleet of pirates following him.

I think Shank's talking to the Elders about Buggy is becoming slowly and slowly more plausible. Shanks now has a good connection with every emperor except Blackbeard.

I noticed that when Kidd showed Luffy the new emperors of the sea, Luffy's eye's popped out the way they did when he was in gear five. Maybe he has control over it? Or maybe since he awakened and is actually Nika, it happens to him naturally
I'm excited to see whether he has to fully go into gear five to utilise the abilities or if they're now a normal part of him

I would love for Luffy to finally stand up and defeat an admiral. Having green bull there would give him the perfect opportunity to finally separate himself from the other worst generation pirates and it would be a great chance to claim wano as his territory by defeating an admiral.

Someone pointed out that the Grim Reaper appearing infront of Zoro might have hinted at the existence of Pluton in Wano. Pluton being the roman version of Hades, the king of the underworld.
I have a theory that Ryokugyu absorbs some of the personality of his latest root victim. He seemed so happy go lucky last chapter. Now, as he's absorbing Beast Pirate's energy, he wants to appease his father figure.

Something that I suddenly thought of while watching an old episode of Emergency. The world of One Piece somewhat resembles a partially disassembled Japanese puzzle ball, where the Red Line is the two equatorial pieces that you pop out after removing the locking plugs. It would fit with Oda's sense of "Hah" (like boxer Ideo looking like a humanized version of "Space Runaway Ideon"). Will be interesting to see if this is true or not at the end of the series.

Technically Shanks is part of the old generation. Although he wasn't an Emperor during the first chapter of the series, but he did become an Emperor shortly after. And as far as I'm aware of, nowhere in the series does it mention who was the Emperor who got their place taken by Shanks

The parts I am most impressed about Luffy are his bounty, Yonko status, and the amount of in-world time it took to get there; which is less than 3 years.
-Ace in 3 years only had a bounty 550 million, Luffy in less than that time had more than 5 times that amount
-Every known Yonko took decades (since their 1st pirate voyage as crew member or otherwise) to become an Emperor, except Luffy( less than 3 years).
-Every known Yonko was crew member of an influential Pirate captain before (BB from Whitebeard's crew, Shanks & Buggy from Roger's crew, BM, Kaido & WB from Rocks' crew), all except Luffy
Based on this three points I find the bounty reveal satisfying in a way.

I came up with an idea that I kind of wish had happened in one piece years ago. So obviously oda really likes his color schemes matching with a persons devil fruit powers, or at least the admirals, and the original 3 had red, blue, and yellow to match with their magma, ice, and light powers respectively. Now what if he mad it so that kizaru also left the admirals for some reason during the timeskip and all 3 were replaced with admirals using the secondary colors purple, green, and orange. We already have fujitora and greenbull for the purple and green but not the orange. I was thinking what if the marines had been the ones that got their hands on the flare flare fruit and gave it to the third admiral with the orange color scheme.

I'm going to wager a guess that Buggy became emperor for storytelling reasons. Since there's a war coming up that's likely many times bigger than the Paramount War, Oda probably wants the One Piece rouges gallery to contribute in some way, and who better to lead a rouges gallery than Buggy? I wouldn't be surprised if he became emperor by busting everyone, including the Seven Warlords, out of Impel Down and recruiting them to fight the World Government.
I'm fairly certain that Buggy's Emperor status is just from his overblown reputation alone. He's probably as shocked as everyone else that he's not an emperor and is probably internally flipping out because his band of goofs are now considered much more dangerous than they really are and now all the other strong guys not on Wano are probs vying for his emperor spot, more than likely some of the other worst generation members or even some vice admirals. He'll probably hide it in his ego, but internally he's screaming. Even if he is hard to kill, he's still probably not as dangerous as the other emperors right now.
pretty sure nami with Zeus can take down buggy. But that's not point. It'll be fun seeing how he reacts. How the situation got misunderstood.

My theory for why Sukiyaki was kept alive (initially at least) was the Clone-Clone fruit. Perhaps you lose the ability to look like someone if they're dead so they had to keep them alive to use their face. Now as to why he was kept alive AFTER they no longer needed him (or when the old hag was killed, whatever her name was) I have no clue, it's possible that Orochi just forgot about him or assumed he died anyway. Regardless I really like the twist!
EDIT: Just got to the part about reading poneglyphs, that makes sense. However it seemed like Kaido didn't know about this fact, so he went after Robin instead. Orochi could've kept him as a bargaining chip against Kaido but I doubt he could ever plan something like that, maybe it was the old hag's idea.
Kaido was planning on using pudding to read the poneglyphs tho.. Its why he literally asks linlin to her face "so your 3 eyed brat still cant read the ancient text?" And all big mom says is "idk bro i havent checked so lets kidnap nico robin so we dont have to risk it" meaning Robin was only targeted because kaido and big mom didnt want to risk the fact that pudding might not be able to read the text just yet

So Kaido knew Robin could read the poneglyphs since Big Mom never explained why to leave her alive. I don't think he was hinging everything on Pudding, especially knowing there's a guaranteed reader out there.

Interestingly enough Ryokugyu seems like he is an Akainu fanboy, whereas Fujitora is somewhat of a contrast to him, someone who doesn't believe or do everything Akainu says, Kizaru on the other hand is Sakazuki's best buddy, whereas Aokiji is his bitter rival, Oda has made the Admiral character traits really interesting and dependent on Akainu...

I think it’s interesting that we still haven’t gotten the “Act III” end panel yet. They’re seem to me more developments for post-Wano so I suppose it’s possible we’ll see that next chapter. Really exciting conclusion to the arc!
I'm not sure if anyone said this already. But my theory is that Green Bull was actually on the phone with Kizaru since the tone of the words used by the guy on the phone could be described as "not serious" or even goofy. And when talking about seeking someone's approval he might be talking about Kizaru instead of Akainu.
Back when Green Bull was introduced, Akainu gave him an order to subdue Fujitora. I think he would have just done it back then in that case. Kizaru on the other hand wanted to go to Wano himself, and when he was back on Sabaody he was relentless ("cutting no corners") with the Supernovas, so maybe Oda was trying to throw us off by trying to make us think he has the same values as Akainu. So now Green Bull is taking matters into his own hands, the same way Kizaru had asked Akainu earlier if he could just go himself.

The old shogun still kicking does fit thematically. He helped sword up Zoro, which fits the idea of him passing on responsibility for the nation to the next generation.
Also, let's not forget Orochi's motivation. He didn't want to just kill everyone. He wanted to HURT them, and he wanted to go on, hurting them. Leaving the old guy alive to witness the fall of Wano was his idea of revenge. Not the most utilitarian I'll admit, but it fits his motives perfectly.
Coolest thing oda did was foreshadow that these 4 would be the emperors by giving them the cover art on Manga Volume 25! We are entering the 25th year of One Piece

Maybe Ryokugyu was talking with Kizaru on the den-den, and Kizaru comes too on Wano. Last saga could mean great fights. Ryokugyu underestimating Luffy cause he didn't talk to the gorosei first maybe, and Zoro with Yamato could try and protect Luffy from 2 admirals.
This chapter blew my mind so much crazy reveals!
Part of me feels like Oda is setting up a curve ball by adding that line about getting luffys head. As in the admiral is only intending to clean up the mess made by Kiado and his men by defeating them and using the nutrients he sucked from them to repair Wanos nature. And having the warship brought to transport the defeated beast pirates back to impel down. But he won't actually try to fight the Victors right now and that comment was meant to be a hint that he sees luffy as someone he will take down 1 day in the future to impress the fleet admiral.
One thing I noticed is that the current batch of Yonko all got started under the guidance of Pirate Royalty. Buggy and Shanks were apprentices of Roger; Blackbeard was a crewmate of Whitebeards; Luffy is the odd one out here but he was set on his journey by Shanks. Additionally, Luffy, Buggy and Shanks all have ties to eachother and seem to form a Roger camp so to speak, where Blackbeard is the odd one out in that respect.

i've been hyping myself up over this idea... but seeing Greenbull's power set so far.... It just makes me itch to see a Greenbull and Crocodile fight.... just to see what Croco-boy had gained in the past two years and they both seem to be the perfect "anti-power" to the other.
it would be disappointing if it doesn't happen, it just feels tailor made based on power sets and we are getting into the last arc and Croc needs one last big fight and to finish off his character arc.
I'm fine with kid and law having 3 billion bounties but luffy's should've been 3.5. The big mom kaido comparison is cool but luffy was the only one chosen to be an emperor. You could argue it was Morgans who did this but Morgans can also make his bounty higher then
He can't make his bounty higher, the world government pays out the bounty. The article probably states Luffy as the mastermind but Morgan's has no control over the bounty amounts
