Anyway, a little backstory.
Michael and Rebecca have known each other since kindergarten, their parents communicated since they were friends as children: Michael, Rebecca and Jeremy (Freddy the bully mask).
Around high school, Michael fell in love with Rebecca and she fell in love with him, cute right?
The following years, Rebecca tried to help Michael, since the situation with his family was killing him from the inside, so they both had to go through a lot for the sake of their common happiness.
But unfortunately, one day Michael received a letter from his father, William, who went missing several years ago, that prompted Michael to return to Hurricane and... die.
He sincerely wanted to return to Rebecca after he came to life again, but he understood that it was dangerous and pointless.
Rebecca continued to live an ordinary life, she did not remarry in memory of Michael, and raised their children alone, with the help of Jeremy
