Oh my Sunflowers 😂! The birds I've invited in the garden have feasted on all my sunflower seeds. I'm still researching on ways to get them to see without touching. Nice challenge and I want to try
I’ve planted in the spring and they grew…smaller harvest but it worked. Oak RAH John, not oak REE 😂 I have planned a spot in the new garden just for sunflowers.
Good morning John, believe it or not I just saw a shoutout video you did for me two years ago. I cannot believe how I missed it sir. Thank you so much brother, I really appreciate it. You are definately the man. Wow, just wow.
We might have to try the garlic! and definitely count us in on the #sunflowerhigh23 challenge Gina's been getting the bed all nice and ready to rock the biggest sunflower 🌻 going to be an awesome year! We are working on the videos for our challenges so stay tuned!! ✌️ and ❤️ to all!!
Perfect. I’m in. Just started planting mine on march 14th and my mammoth sunflower sprouts are huge. One side of the sprout is about 3 fattest part of my fingers. So they are about 4.5 inches sprout span.
Sure, why not. Stores and Nurseries have them out right now for us to buy, must be OK, right ? Of course, we all know it's better to plant in the Fall, and good nurseries do have them out in the Fall for us to buy. Then again, us homesteaders, we save a few clusters of Garlic each years harvest to plant again in the Fall, being self sufficient.
Once more.... It has arrived! The Sunflower High Challenge! Folks will have fun in the battle! I think you should let the chickens do as they wish so it is not so easy for you to compete. 😆
I think someone is hiding in our friends bushes or something he has a red light on his face in the beginning of this video.... What should we do captain? Maybe send a Goat in!??
Okreee....that's a hillbilly word lol. That plant at the beginning around the cup of garlic, ya may wanna destroy that by fire. If I'm correct it's spurge it spreads like wildfire, most people mistake it for purslane(Portulaca oleracea) which is very good to have. Purslane has more omega 3 fatty acids then any other plant. Maybe I'll try the sunflower challenge, never really grown them much and they will be great for dove season in Sept.
Hi John I been planting garlic for about 6 years but I never plant in the spring I always plant in October I might try planting garlic in the spring I love the soft neck garlic because it last long but I love the hard neck garlic because of the garlic scapes happy garden

Way too late to start garlic here but look forward to seeing how it does for you.

you can plant in spring and then again in the fall to get a summer harvest.
Can you do a video of you doing oyster hand tonging ?
I just fixed it so my chickens cant get into the garden no more for this year...
It sounds like you’re saying Okree? Do you mean Okra?
