Out of all the back YA books out there, this one had amazing plot twists (usually thanks to Peeta) that deserve to still be popular. OR, are we getting old and this are our confort movies now? And we're trying to convince young generations about "our classics"?? something to think about!
The most likely reason the popularity is booming right now is because the movie “The Ballad of the Songbirds and Snakes” is coming out in November, which is a prequel to the Hunger Games books and movies.

The greatest crime of the last movies is that they split the last book into two movies. It was so Painfully obvious that they were stretching it out as a cash grab and not because there was enough book stuff to make it make sense. Would still like to see your assessment when you have the spoons!
jennifer lawrence is a cringe person irl but her acting in these movies was absolutely incredible. the acting all around. josh hutcherson doesn't get enough love, either. also when i rewatch these movies i legitimately always just want to stop after the 2nd movie but then i'm like no can't do that to myself so i completely skip mockingjay pt 1 because there was no point in making that movie. splitting the final movie into two parts was such an unnecessary trend.
