I've always thought DoJ was a joke. Only letting certain members create content or stream, restricting LEO members to one specific department, Area of Play instead of using the entire map, way too many staff members, too much emphasis on ranks, Polecat and his "friends" getting to break guidelines but anyone else gets punished. And to top it off, Jordan is just a jerk, glad I never joined this community.
I think everyone is blinded when they're in there. It's made into this massive, rule-laden, heirarchical autocracy, so you have no option but to follow the rules. You have people with tiny little bits of 'power' who constantly flex that power. Let me be very clear: it's not gaming. It is actually more like a job.

The community has a fetish for punishing people. My friends who were also at DOJ have said they were often anxious about being on patrol because of the excessive punishments handed out every day.
I got pulled into a staff room once simply because the civilian did not like how the scenario went like bro what???? Some of them think they are so entitled it's crazy.

I got staffed because I lost internet one night and TS didn't disconnect me. I explained it and they still gave me a written warning. First "offense" mind you. I'm deffo gonna look into Flipside once things get a bit quieter in my other community (OCRP)

Quite often, you can't even think about DOJ without getting in trouble. Being a media member means you're targeted by jealous superiors. It's absolutely unreal. It'll continue to be a toxic community, as we've just seen in LSDP. Exactly why so many really GOOD DoJ guys have come over to Flipside, because it's totally transparent and run for the community. Our values (ACT-R) seem to strike deep for a lot of people - and everyone is accountable to them.

I like realism but I also like fun i used to run a gta rp and i Called it Central rp very small community small streamers and we had realistic rps but we had some fun and thats what doj is lacking and im glad buggs and jeff left way earlier and polecat should get what he deserves
People can be realistic without all the rules and regulations. I can understand wanting people to drive the same vehicles and/or wear the same uniforms, but, c'mon... giving people the shits and a rash for putting on black pants instead of dark blue? Insanity.
Two people came forward with allegations about conduct from Polecat towards them as minors and provided some quite damning evidence. Community had a mass-exodus. Polecat stepped left, Ghost left, now Darien and Matt O. are head admin and trying to rebuild.
