I wonder why we embrace and love such soundscapes? Is there some kind of deep desire for terror in us? Or is it learned by harsh life conditions? What is it that makes something inherently unpleasant to an animal: isolation and dread, something that all the listeners end up seeking in these videos? I am afraid of the answers, I am afraid we are becoming like this music, but should I be?
We are drawn to this music because it completely lacks any superficial elements that are commonly found in our 21st century environment. We want a means to escape from all the shallowness the mainstream media has to offer. The insincere and unnecessarily complicated societal norms and hive minded mentalities suffocate us whether we realize it or not. So ironically themes of music like this allows us to feel more alive because we allow ourselves to embrace raw and real thought processes about life. It makes feel more free than what is commonly offered to us.
Fuck... I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for a long time now. I have been trying all the relaxation audios and music even om chantings in TH-cam but this really gave me a moment of calm that I'm really enjoying. Thanks for this

Every time I listen to this, and look at this picture, it makes me think of the creepy surreal horror VR walk through game called "Here They Lie." There is a part where you walk through an area that looks very similar to this image, and then you see the big demon guy for the first time when he steps out of a painting on the wall and comes after you. Love this track by the way, one of my favorites. Just something about it.
