Thankfully, my Indian parents aren't strict. They are pretty chill and told me to wear whatever I like to wear. They were like it's your body and it's your life, you don't need to ask for permission everytime. Everything is allowed for me- short skirts, Crop tops, dresses, etc ..... The only thing they are strict in is my studies as they want to see me as a strong, financially independent girl who can take care of herself.....

Here's what strict parents do: They won't let you go alone literally anywhere. Not allowed to wear revealing clothes (you can't tuck them in either). Parents select your clothes when u go shopping. Won't allow u to have your own room. Won't give u your own phone.Even if they did, they will go through it at any times. No makeup allowed etc etc...
After reading a few comments I think I'm way too lucky to have a cool and open minded parents who take cares of my generations mindset and fashions too and let me wear whatever I want let me go outside wherever I want with my friends and let me have a good sleepovers a few times too buttt they trust me alot ans i ain't breaking it
@@capcutedits5 Idrk as my parents were always urging me to go out with my friends but as I was an introvert and had a lot of trust issuesI mostly refused lol However, I passed that phase I am good now, going out with my friends, wearing whatever (appropriate) I want etc. But if ur parents are that strict, I believe it would be difficult but I can just say one thing that they jut to protect you and they care for you...but if you feel suffocated in ur life, the only advice is to endure it till you start earning on your own and can make your own life decisions. Actually the problem is that strict parents don't want us to look good so that no one can approach us 🙂.... according to them we should've to look average ... And it's not always bcz of clothes but also what hairstyle we do.
Well umm okay one thing to say about that is that clothing is a factor in SA it is not like dressing badly will do anything but still let's just say that a girl decided to go to a party at night her probability of getting SA would increase if she where alone and or wore a tight dress or had any of her body parts showing (like her cleavage or her butt)and or looked like super hot in other peoples eyes why because there are people out there who think you are inciting something by the way you dress(just like how we all judge from appearance they doing that too and thinking sexually of you the p*rn industry does not help with this either so if you dress up in a short dress and you look like someone who wants to do the devil's tango you will attract that kind of attention), there are also psychos out there who don't care as long as you look attractive to them(and pedophiles normally pray on younger kids who seem innocent or oblivious to what they are wearing). So obviously parents out there want to protect their children by forcing rules like no short skirts outside the house or crop tops just anything that might lead to someone sexualizing especially at such a young age. If you have never been named or called before and or whistled at on the streets just for wearing short skirts then you now know that you were actively exposing yourself to that sort of attention. You know that it is not like they blame you because honestly there are two types of SA there is the SA that you did nothing or had no choice to avoid and then there is the other kind of SA in which the victim could have avoided it if he/she had chosen a better choice for example if a girl decided not to go to a party in which had alcohol and or drugs she would have escaped the fate of being drugged and SA... From personal experience I had escaped SA by refusing to do it with an older male friend (I was about 8 or 7 and I didn't know much about Sex but when I was little my family would tell me what to do if I got in a u comfy situation the fact that we lived in a bad neighborhood made the chances of getting SA higher any who male friend was in his teens , he asked me to go with him to a secluded place when I did he and his older friend were there and he showed me is private part telling me to you know on it because it would be fun me being scared and grossed out I said no and before they could do anything I run away and locked my door after that incident our relationship with each other was just weird he stopped hanging around with his bad friends and I never told anyone because I did not want him to get in trouble either way we ended up moving to a better neighborhood but if I were a second too late I would have been forced to do something my little child brain could not comprehend)the purpose of telling you this is to show you that with the little knowledge I had as a kid I was still able to escape such a fate.

Well umm okay one thing to say about that is that clothing is a factor in SA it is not like dressing badly will do anything but still let's just say that a girl decided to go to a party at night her probability of getting SA would increase if she where alone and or wore a tight dress or had any of her body parts showing (like her cleavage or her butt)and or looked like super hot in other peoples eyes why because there are people out there who think you are inciting something by the way you dress(just like how we all judge from appearance they doing that too and thinking sexually of you the p*rn industry does not help with this either so if you dress up in a short dress and you look like someone who wants to do the devil's tango you will attract that kind of attention), there are also psychos out there who don't care as long as you look attractive to them(and pedophiles normally pray on younger kids who seem innocent or oblivious to what they are wearing). So obviously parents out there want to protect their children by forcing rules like no short skirts outside the house or crop tops just anything that might lead to someone sexualizing especially at such a young age. If you have never been named or called before and or whistled at on the streets just for wearing short skirts then you now know that you were actively exposing yourself to that sort of attention. You know that it is not like they blame you because honestly there are two types of SA there is the SA that you did nothing or had no choice to avoid and then there is the other kind of SA in which the victim could have avoided it if he/she had chosen a better choice for example if a girl decided not to go to a party in which had alcohol and or drugs she would have escaped the fate of being drugged and SA... From personal experience I had escaped SA by refusing to do it with an older male friend (I was about 8 or 7 and I didn't know much about Sex but when I was little my family would tell me what to do if I got in a u comfy situation the fact that we lived in a bad neighborhood made the chances of getting SA higher any who male friend was in his teens , he asked me to go with him to a secluded place when I did he and his older friend were there and he showed me is private part telling me to you know on it because it would be fun me being scared and grossed out I said no and before they could do anything I run away and locked my door after that incident our relationship with each other was just weird he stopped hanging around with his bad friends and I never told anyone because I did not want him to get in trouble either way we ended up moving to a better neighborhood but if I were a second too late I would have been forced to do something my little child brain could not comprehend)the purpose of telling you this is to show you that with the little knowledge I had as a kid I was still able to escape such a fate.

My mom doesn't like this kind of clothes, she makes me buy clothes that SHE likes, if she doesn't, she either donates it, or throws it away. Not to mention that almost all my clothes are from 2-3 years old, and rarely we go shopping, I am not allowed to buy "aesthetic" clothes, bc they are "too ugly", "too short", or things like that. But the few ones i have, is bc of my aunt, she has nice fashion taste :D
