  • This is the first part of fixing all of the problems that the GLK had. It's definitely more difficult than I thought it would be.

    If you live in a place where they salt the roads quite a bit, an induction heater with a few different heads is one of the best investments you can make. You pay 1500-2000usd for a good one, but then you never ever have to spend time to get a rusty bolt off.

      I found the "Hot Rod" heater works great and is affordable. I can get 1/2" fasteners cherry hot in seconds. Comes with extra heads too

      That is great advice! I didn't even know those existed. I will definitely look into it!

    I am a professional mechanic and I'd never do all that work on jackstands. This would would be done in like 1/4 of the time with a lift. But you gotta use what you've got.

    • @WhiteAuto
      @WhiteAuto  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's definitely something I am working towards. Hopefully, in the future, I will get a taller garage to fit a lift in :)

    Premium cars with Premium prices , but you did save a lot of money ! Sometimes i wonder why the put some parts in the must idiot places, and yes then will it upgrade the prices amazing because of labor.....But fix it and wait for the rebuilding video ! Greets from The Netherlands !

      German engineering was always overly complicated, but it definitely is cool when it's all new and works well! Thanks for the support from the Netherlands! Part 2 is coming in a week and half!

    Use anti-seize on the back of the brake rotors where the mounting surface is. It will make the next removal easier.

    • @WhiteAuto
      @WhiteAuto  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the tip! I definitely will. These rotors were on since 2009, so hopefully, the next owner will not struggle with this anymore.

    It took me 3 days to do engine mounts on my 2011 E350 4matic. It was easily the worst job ever.

    Just becareful using wood under Jack stands...if that's fractures the entire car might fall on you. I always put the wheels u see the car as a precaution.

    • @WhiteAuto
      @WhiteAuto  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was definitely thinking the same. I am on the hunt for some bigger jack stands, so I don't use wood. Thanks for the advice!
