Then, a brief dip into the world of Cybersmith, the online guy becoming the face of the campaign to normalise keeping human pets.
Finally a look into Kemi Badenoch's war on bathrooms, after she launched a plan to abolish gender neutral toilets over the weekend.

As a trans lassie I found it great hearing you all talk about toilets because that's what we've all been fucking saying forever now but nobody listens to us. can I also say its fucked that all of these debates are over trans women specifically, by that I mean we should be talking equally about how to help trans men as much as trans women. loved the podcast as always.

Has nobody ever thought to tell Kemi Badenoch that women can use gender neutral toilets as well? It’s not just us non binary people using it, everyone can. Hence gender neutral.

Yeah, clearly not - also a study was just released earlier today where it's cis men pushing the anti trans agenda over cis women. cis women are fine with it hence why they typically don't push the anti trans messages, they're more in favour of support for trans siblings - who also realise it goes both ways for women's rights add on the fact of recent transphobic rhetoric is so extreme it's attacking cis people (I know how many people say "stop attaching cis to me I'm not cis I'm just a woman/man" It's there in order to differentiate between the two.
Undo your programming bro, goverment wants you to think you are non binary, they want to destroy the family unit and men to be weak, submissive. You're basically a slave to your lust a this point.
Most women don't want to use gender neutral toilets if there is a women-only toilet, and there is no queue. Women just need more toilets, full stop, it's just biology. Note, trans women biologically are male, so they don't need this. Just another difference with real women

People need to talk about the safe routes more, as well as the reality of how ineffective and expensive these so-called deterrents are, as well as the giant scandal of why these claims are not being processed in our many, many embassies around the world like you'd imagine they should be. Exposing who's receiving the money for them would also help, because we know full well there are some hoteliers making absolute bank from this, and I imagine this barge has some oligarch or prison corporation collecting giant payments in the background too.
Massively pisses me off that this self-made crisis continues to dominate headlines. Another thing people need to do is stop acting like processing is automatic acceptance. Part of the con in the immigration debate is that these asylum seekers are economic migrants. If that's the case, processing them means you reject them, and at that point they know where they stand and we have the legal right to deport, which is exactly what should happen. This really isn't hard, yet for some reason both sides turn this fiasco into a battle of all or nothing extremes where we either accept all or reject all. Politics seems to have lost all nuance in these times.

I've got a better use for the barge - park it on the Thames and fill it with MPs, all the MPs that have second homes, job jobbed... the conditions and facilities on the barge would improve so fast it'd make your head spin, I guarantee it.
To be fair, Rishi strikes me as a lightweight. Don't think it would take much at all to get him black-out drunk enough to sellotape him naked to a lamp post.

I loved the conversation on gender neutral toilets. As a trans woman I have got the point of just not using toilet in public in general because my choices are go into the men's (presenting as a woman) which feels very unsafe as I don't "pass" or I can go into the women's and get yelled at and degraded by some Karen who is upset I need to pee. Gender neutral toilets defuse the culture war and that is entirely why the tories don't like them. Everybody pees ffs. A sign on a door is not gonna stop someone from stalking a women OR ME! I HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN! Which is not surprising when "ONS figures show 28% of trans people experienced crime compared with 14% of cis people". I'm so done with both our major political parties because neither seem to offer a shred of understanding for what it is like living as a trans person.
Yeah. at this point they aren't hiding that they're rejecting solid evidence shown to them at what needs to happen to make things better. Oh, I forgot. The Tories don't like making things better. Look at the NHS. The failed migrant week last week as examples.

Why not just accept your body the way it is? Being male brings a lot of benefits. Dressing as a tramp brings benefits to men or women only in a very limited number of circumstances. Most women nowadays don't wear makeup, skirt or heels.
I've done the 2 days of drinking ( to my surprise when we went for breakfast on the 2nd morning, everyone had pints. I thought we'd have a symbolic one with breakfast, and then go and do something in the good weather. We stayed the entire day until 5pm drinking. Then quick shower, and out to pub crawl the small town we were in and on to the local nightclub. What a great weekend. Wouldn't manage it now mind you. 3 pints and the hangover is near suicide inducing ha ha

Having worked hospitality for 15 odd years I can definitely concur that Hen parties were far more outrageously/obscenely behaved than Stag parties...
I used to run pub crawls in shordeitch. We had a few stag anda few hen dos. Hens were always worse. Getting lost, far too drunk, blaming us for their drunkness, orderign brand new drinks on last orders. Even had one where one of the bars on route already had a hen do in it when we arrived with a hen do. "Our" hen do ended up getting in a fight and throwing a drink over the others. "Ours" were kicked out and then complained to us about it.
Yep, women are definitely different from men. Some news for those PC people!

really enjoyed this episode. it felt more honest perhaps because ollie was hungover and didn't care or appear to. just felt like everything that needed to be said was said even if it might not what they felt was right
Hope you feel better Oli. On the toilet issue it thought it was interesting to say that it's not worth engaging with sincerely because of the motives behind it. Made me wonder what other things would also fit that response, and when not engaging with something is more effective than sincerely engaging with it.

That's actually a very practical question. Practical questions do deserve to be engaged in. It's everyday life. Sports are another practical thing. The definition of "woman" or when a person starts to have a gender are not practical, but completely theoretical. So not worth engaging in

While accessible, not disabled, toilets might not be "gendered", they can only be used by one person at a time. Whereas those that are gendered allow more than one person at a time. So the chances of women being confronted by a weirdo with a hard on are greater.
I'd however suggest the chances of being "confronted by a weirdo with a hard on" are far higher in the gender neutral areas outside toilets, ie. the rest of the world.
A guy isn't going to dress as a woman to molest her, he'll just follow her into the toilet and do it anyway.

Ive noticed for ages but definately today, that Oli only ever looks at Ed when he is talking. Even when he is answerin Ava.
He's always appeard noticably dismissive towards her since they started the PubCast. The thing about it is, it dooesnt seem to be deliberate either.
Dont get me wrong, this isnt a dig. I like Oli and share very similarr views, and think he is dynomight on things like Laura Keunberg however its just somethinh ive picked up on over time. It seems very 'Lads Club'. They need another female, or better, campish gay guy to balence out the dinamic. I like Ava a lot but she needs someone to bounce off of too.
