Triple Concerto in D minor, Op. 70 (1908)
Dedication: à Alfred Cortot, Jacques Thibaud et Pablo Casals
    I. Allegro, molto moderato (0:00)
    II. Intermezzo. Allegro moderato (12:59)
    III. Adagio (21:15)
    IV. Allegro con brio (26:59)
The Storioni Tiro and the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrucken Kaiserslautern conducted by Pablo Gonzales
Members of Storioni Trio: Bart van de Roer, piano; Wouter Vossen, violin & Marc Vossen, cello
Moór was born in Kecskemét, Hungary, and studied in Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Between 1885 and 1897 he toured Europe as a soloist and ventured as far afield as the United States. Besides five operas and eight symphonies his output also included: concertos for piano (4), violin (4), cello (2), viola, and harp; a triple concerto for violin, cello, and piano; chamber music; a requiem; and numerous lieder. Moór's opuses total to 151 to his credit including eight symphonies. He died, aged 68, in Chardonne, Switzerland.
His best-known invention was the Emánuel Moór Pianoforte, which consisted of two keyboards lying one above each other and allowed, by means of a tracking device, one hand to play a spread of two octaves. The double keyboard pianoforte was promoted extensively in concerts throughout Europe and the United States by Moór's second wife, the British pianist Winifred Christie.

Thank you. This is a stunning piece of music. I've never heard a single tone out of it.

And you still read in music literature that Beethoven is the only one who wrote a concerto for piano trio and orchestra...

Thanks, very rare, perhaps unique listening. There's a few executions of Cello and Double Cellos concertos but first time I run into Triple Concerto. Not sure why because it is as good as the others.....

      @@bassoprof hey man ... I know it! C'mon!
What I was trying to signal is that I was unaware about Moor triple concerto, but only about single and double ones and that my concern is that his triple concerto is as good as the others hence I'm surprised it's lesser known.

Is this the same guy who came up with the two-manual piano?

For baroque music, or for expanding creativity, such a piano “should” be mainstream and a mainstay!
