In my new community, there were multiple homes with waste pipe issues that that ran 8th the thousands to correct. A scoping of the drain system is money well spent even on a new construction.
The building inspector who inspected my house when new was caught taking bribes, which explains a lot of the problems I have. Sure wish I'd hired a home inspector before purchase!
Hi Ruben, do you use this YTer's "smoke out" technique when inspecting homes? He recommends it for houses that have been flipped. It's crazy to me that a brand new house wouldn't come with gutters!

As a home inspector of 10 years, I'm in disbelief with how many new homes are bought without a third party inspection.

The last time I had a home inspection he thought the door bell line had to be replaced because it was knob and tube electrical wire
