You can use an Upmixer for Auro 3D or Atmos if you use SDR setting which solves all problems. Much better sound. Or: use HDR and Atmos Settings with Apple TV for native Netflix or other Content. Test it!

Thank you very much for the video. But I have an issue when I try to activate match content. I have a bose Soundbar500 connected to a Samsung Ks7000 via ARC. When I start for example Netflix I can’t control anymore the volume of the soundbar with the remote control of the TV, for doing it I have to use the Apple TV remote control. When the Apple TV adapt the content and the screen goes black I cannot control the volume anymore. Do you have suggestions? Thank you

Hello . I'm using Apple TV 4k with BenQ projector W2700/HT3550 (HDR10) and Yamaha av Rx V585 (Dolby vision) and set the setting as you recommended. When i use Netflix n play a Dolby vision content my projector auto shifts to HDR10 mode and i get 4k dolby vision . But when i play jack Ryan on prime video ( it is in HDR ULTRA HD format) my projector doesn't shift to HDR10 mode. As i enable HDR n turn off match dynamic range in Apple TV setting n play Ryan again my projector shifts to HDR10 mode. Is there anything i can do where it can auto shifts to HDR 10 as in Netflix ? Or Jack Ryan is only in 4k dolby Atmos format on Apple TV 4k ?
Brother, I bought the same device in 4k sdr mode and even though the content matches are open, when TH-cam hdr video is open, the system does not pass hdr, so the hdr active symbol does not appear on the TV, normally in this setting, sdr broadcasts sdr hdr broadcasts are watched as hdr. this time it shows the sdr broadcasts as pale and matte. I'm not sure if this is a software problem. I couldn't solve it.

It doesn’t matter. With those two options turned on, the device will send the correct signal to your display. Dolby Vision/HDR is then utilized for the UI, games, and other apps running natively

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect media player for a long time and I ended up with the Nvidia shield which can also do auto frame rate and auto colour space matching. I can understand how this can be complicated for people to grasp. They know they have a HDR tv and they just automatically turn that feature on.
Instead of opening the tv menu and navigating to the source to bring up the source information you can just press “info” on the samsung remote to bring up the resolution, hdr, uhd information.
@@kingeo25 yes in Spring of 2017 this feature was not available , but later on with an Update Apple brought it in , Interesting thou when i met that Apple guy Technician and he gave me a tip about this new feature and settings in 2017 Summer , few months after in November 2017 , Vincent Theo had the same recommended settings , i'm sure he was up to date with Apple's new feature at the time .

Switching the format to SDR is to get the option to get chroma 4.4.4, the only thing that matters is turning on match contents. All these guys are wrong. Just like how he said at 10:45 it’s all about our preference. He likes what he likes we all like what we like. If you want to run HDR all the time it’s what you like. Regardless the content will run how it’s supposed to if you turn on match content. Everything else is your personal preference

...leave both them off... if you have a 4K lg oled then lock it to 4K Dolby vision 60 then you’ll have no banding issues...
