I bought the FS-06 a few months back to use as my backup and practice rig. It is the best value preamp pedal on the market IMO. My favourite modes are the BE and 5150 as well 😄. The inbuilt cabs are totally useable too
I just ordered the Preamp and Cab pedals. Can’t wait! Going to run them in front of my Boss Katana MkII 100w head and Boss MkII 212 cab. I get the feeling I might never stop playing… 😎
The preamp has a number of shortcomings. There is no send/return loop. It would be correct to connect the delay to the break loop of the preamplifier and amplifier. All this stuff is just for playing in the line. The feature of the cabinet sim, this game for two cabinets, did not show. With a yellow pedal, you can greatly unload the guitar processor by turning off the emulation of two cabinets there. The yellow pedal is the most necessary. A delay with a tempo there and one button is useless, you need two. It seems to be a good idea, because of the shortcomings all these pedals fly away to the secondary. You can leave the cabinet simulator, this can unload your guitar processor by an order of magnitude.
I got the yellow pedal. Hotone AMP is a better amp sim. Loop, pre and power amp sim, UI is good. Sounds great, and has ok inbuilt IRs.but I turn them off and use the FS07 or the glorious GFI Cabzeus Stereo
7:36 Loudness Riff!! I have a few of these Flamma pedals and they are pretty bad ass for the price. Their Preamp, Delay and Drum Loop pedals make for a fun way to come up with riffs and song ideas.
I had a go with that preamp recently and was really impressed with the MV5 model. I assume it was a Boogie thing. Sounded killer with a strat! The rest were meh, but that particular mode rocked. Their reverb is pretty solid as well. I really like the form factor of their pedals. Oh, and I think the Coral Reef is a Two Rock model.
Great review. I am at the point of buying the pre-amp, and two more of their pedals. I just sold my Boss GT 100 and will be using my Boss stomp boxes while waiting for either the Fractal FM 9 or Line 6 Helix (though very old already) to become available to buy. I don't wanna have to hassle of carrying guitar amps. Furthermore, the Church where I play, has a full in ear soundsysteem. It would be nice if you could review: 1. this purple pre-amp against more expensive ones and even some real guitar amps 2. some other Flamma pedals, especially the mini ones and give your overall opinion. Thanks again.
If you already have some stompboxes you could build a decent rig, you would only need a decent DI Box. I went from an AX8 to some dirt pedals and a Plethora X3 for effects, a Blackstar Amped 1 for amplification and DI capabilities all mounted on a 12"x24" pedalboard, going to a 112 cab, and I'm happier than ever, I can haul all my gear in one trip, it's so convenient.
good review as always always feels like u are discoving the gear with us instead of just shoving stuff down our throats hahahah u know what i mean love ya work :) whats ur fav preamp pedal for jcm tones?
@@LeonToddcheers im shore i did ill watch it again but been using my tsl so ive never really been looking for anything in the pedal form but yer now im thinking it would be cool if i could get those tones - mostly that crunch channel on my board.
After having to sell my amp during the pandemic, I only use that Joyo American Sound pedal as a Preamp/Cab simulator, and omg, how good is it not having to bring an amp to play on small pubs (which is what I normally do). But I wanted to upgrade it, so I can use to do some recording also and I was thinking about this Flamma preamp pedal (using it's own cab sim). Do you think it's a valid idea, or it'd be better to save a little more for a better solution?
It's just a pair of unbalanced outs, you'd still need a stereo DI box or something like that to use it into a mixer. I've bought mine and two DI boxes along with it, still seems to be a really nice pedal
They’re okay. Nothing great though. 3x80$ is 240$ (+ cables, power supply, and pedal board needed is even more). For that much, I’d look at the mg-30 or Hotone Ampero. They’re decent pedals though not hating on them.
Interesting. Can't be shipped to the US? "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."

Really love the flamma line. The cab and ekoverb are supreme!❤

I'm waiting for the neuralink enabled model!
Like the stereo Cab sim, might get it...Nice find Leon Thanks...!!!!
yeah that's a winner
Honestly it sounds as good as hx stomp amps, strymon iridium, boss. I mean it sounds as good honestly for not that much.
Crazy! I love it
I got their Reverb one. It is surprisingly great!!
For the price I was expecting ay less, ut it is so darn good.

That makes so much sense!
Leon Ftw!
😇
So you need the cab sim if the preamp has it built in.....What's the benefit of adding the cab sim
Using your own custom IRs instead of the stock preamp one

Did you check out the Revival Drive vid I did recently? That gets some early 2203 stuff going.

Hi Leon! Looks like I missed that video 😅 does that flamma preamp feel better to play than the small MOOER preamp pedals?
Is the greenback IR from celestions collection?
Love my FS-07!
I'm thinking hard about that preamp pedal.. it had some pretty decent representations of those amps
Compare what $80 gets you today vs what &800 got you 10-15 years ago and it's amazing
Any plans to review their mult-fx FX100?
Not just yet, BUT if the people want it, I'll try make it happen :D
Leon, what length of user IR can the FS07 handle? And does it truncate user IRs and if so, to what length?

These are so cheap it's worth trying. I really like the NUX MG30/MG400 for a budget modeler too.
@@LeonToddwhich one is had a better sound in amp sim only. Flamma or nux mg 30?
Hi Leon. Are you planning to try the preamp pedal with a valve amp loop return and mic'd cab?
Yeah I've got something planned for that too. Really good sounding little pre
there is not much stereo cab sims in pedal format, i'll try this one for sure
Pretty sure this is the only one with an IR loader.
@@rangerdoc1029 nope, there is an yerasov iron cab and some amt stuff
The cab sim pedal looks interesting for the price. Any idea if it has balanced output/TRS for going to a PA/Mixer or is a DI required?

@@manualofalternativemusic why 2 di boxes? one for cab and one for preamp?
Actually both for the Flama Cab pedal, it has a stereo output so you can send a stereo signal to front of house, so I use two DI boxes for them 😅

Oh yeah definitely, so many options around those price points. I still need to try the ampero!
now everybody its talk about flama
next day this shit gonna rise the price
$80. It really floors me, the sort of stuff you can get so cheap and still sound pretty decent.
Yeah. I could gig this setup just fine.
is the delay also digital?
Yes
