    We need an updated video for this that includes all the other parts of the login experience. For example:
    Logging out.
    After logging out, WP sends you back to the WP login page, needs to go to the custom one.
    Password reset functionality.
    Registration.
    Redirects.
    If we want to completely replace the WP login/logout/reset/register system, we need to control all those pages, and the routing and redirects.

    Thanks for the video. Can you explain how to set up a Forgot Password feature? Really important for any membership only type website.

    Best page builder for sure but im still waiting for essential features to come in order to switch from elementor. I really need shape dividers, animated headlines, more carousel and gallery options. Keep it up! You have the right vision

    Great content! Very much appreciated. I've noticed though that if a user accidentally enters the wrong credentials, or just hits login without entering any credentials at all, then they are redirected immediately to the usual WP admin page. I don't suppose you know how to prevent this from happening on a custom login screen such as this?
    For context, I intend to turn the WP toolbar off for users who log in this way so that when they login, they are not aware it is WP at all (essentially making demo sites for clients)

      @Shay Pottle did you get a solution to this problem?

    • @moblin1010
      @moblin1010 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OwenAndersonUK I did not. It seems there are a number of potential solutions though: plugins, code snippets and the like. But tbh I couldn't be faffed with it. In the end I just decided to demo sites as a subdomain of my own site - not giving the user login credentials until after the migration to their server. Probably not the best approach, but I imagine noones going to randomly discover all of the subdomains of my client sites so it does the job xD

    How do u change the login button text to say logout? Or a simple logic that will track logged in and logged out states and change the text accordingly.

    Nice tutos but is ther a way to use ajax to login or to redirect to a custom design page when a customer put a wrong password ? Like the previous comment, oxygen lack of fluid experience to design all the process of login / logout / password reset etc..

    Thanks for the tutorial!! If we create our own login page does that mean we should hide or secure the existing login (wp-admin)? Is there any added security risk to doing this? Thanks!!!

    • @OxygenBuilder
      @OxygenBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to do anything with the existing login page. This login form uses built-in WordPress functionality, so there should be no added security risks from setting it up as advised in the video.

    Hey, thanks for the video. I have followed this video, but the login does not redirect me to the Wordpress dashboard. Instead, I stay on the custom login page. The login does actually work, I just don't get redirected. Is this a bug? Is there a walk around? Thanks for your time.

    • @OxygenBuilder
      @OxygenBuilder  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've seen this happen, but only on some sites and usually only for site admins. You can either use a redirect plugin, or you could put some redirect code in a Code Block with a condition that only outputs that Code Block for logged in users. If you need help with this, e-mail support@oxygenbuilder.com and we'll be glad to advise.

    • @squirrelwise
      @squirrelwise 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@OxygenBuilder Thanks for the reply. For future people reading this thread - adding this code to a code snippets type plugin will do the trick.
      function admin_default_page() {
      return '/wp-admin';
      }
      add_filter('login_redirect', 'admin_default_page');

    Otherwise great, but if I put the wrong password, then it directs me to the WP-Login page. How do keep the user on the same page the modal is or direct user to custom /login page?

    Hi, I'm new to oxygen, I can't see from this video how you set the password and username for the login form. How can I set these parameters? Thanks J

    • @ocubex
      @ocubex 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually you would set the username and password from within Wordpress. This should help - th-cam.com/video/847zlqamv44/w-d-xo.html
