Thank you Mark for suggesting this chicken place in Osaka! We visited Japan last week and were lucky to stop by for an early dinner at Ikkaku. No words can describe the juiciness and the flavors that the baby chicken released with each bite. We stuffed ourselves and also packed some to enjoy late at night 🤩 wish they had branches in every city 🤤
this video series has me so excited every morning I wake up to see if you posted a new video. smiles all day when you do. you take me places and explain the food and taste love it! thank you
Love all your videos, Mark! I love your quirkiness, your positivity, the orgasmic facial expressions that you make, and the way you over enunciate all your words! Love it all. Oh, and the tone you have began to use in your speech too - it almost sounds like you're speaking to a non-English speaker (which I'm sure many of your fans are). All adorable. :-D
+Zipac Zhang they are not all the same, there are 3 faces. OMG amazing smile with teeth, OH that is really good without teeth and the 'yeah that isn't great but I will smile anyways'.
The Japanese culture is very clean and articulate about everything that relates to their home, food, education, and family. Mark, respects their wishes of all of their cultural expectations. He is a good Man!
I just love the way you eat.... you make me hungry everytime.... I think I have gained weight just watching you eat. I am very impressed how you rate the Restaurants just by seeing your actions. Refreshing, and I am sure you are helping all restaurants with their business by your ratings!!! Good for you Mark. And it is so nice bringing your family with you, I thinks it wonderful!!! God Bless You all and in all your Travels. Stay safe always, and be mindful of all the foreign foods you eat.
while u eat something Ur facial expressions make me crazy too eat that food.......... Thanks mark....... Keep it up........i love the way u makes us foody
Before commenting about how to eat the sushi, I just want to say, your video is awesome, a little bit over reaction, but it's okay. Now, first of all, that's not how you eat with wasabi. when you want to eat wasabi, put the wasabi paset in one plate like you did but not so widespreed and when you want to eat the sushi with it, you take little portion of the wasabi and and put it on the the top of the sushi with your chopstick. It will make more elegant and not put a mess on the sushi itself. Second, when you eat sushi with soyu, and the sushi you have is difficult to dip it, you can pour a little bit at the top of the sushi. That's why, it will not messed up you plate and it will make you eating more better rather dropping the sushi or the rice. Especially it's more into sense of etiquette. And that's that. Love your video really!
Oh gaaaaawd!!!! My mouth is watering whenever i see you eat! Even with stuff i don't eat, like fish!!! Seriously, because of your videos i actually started enjoying eating fish. Thank you so much Mark, keep up the amazing work. Your wife and your baby are so precious, should get them more often on camera! Would love to know your wife's opinions on food! Thank you for the videos!
Mark excellent video as always. one thing that i want to say is i know you have read comments about your facial expression when you are savoring the food. some people bothered by it. but for me it is the trademark of you. it is what makes you unique and more define than others food vlogger. just be yourself and i won't ever miss your videos.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark! Not only are your videos excellent, but very single time I watch your videos you make me sooooooooooooo hungry. Keep up the good work.
don't let those haters get into you.. I love your reaction while eating your food and also I love your channel please continue to make videos and travel all over the world and make your fans happy
I love all your videos and I don't even eat meat (or any other animal product). I still like to see food from all over the world out of curiosity. Fantastic work!
Mark, I've just discovered your channel and enjoy your vids very much. I know something tastes great when you kinda slump to your right with a grin. Awesome stuff
Hi Mark and Ying! Another awesome blog ! The food look so delicious especially the chicken ..wow! so tender especially the young chicken..I prefer the young chicken..and the friend skewer looks OK too..Thanks for taking us on your journey..and shout out to Ying sister..Happy eating guys! Elwyn

That young chicken looked so delicious, thanks for highlighting some awesome places to eat, def helps with planning for my next trip. Those Mega Gyoza loooked like an awesome accompaniment for some beeru too.
Mark your videos are great and will help a lot of people travelling to Japan.Mainly how to use the metros and buses. It helps people lose fear.Mainly what kinds of food are available. The types of restaurants.Mainly the prices of lodging and what kinds.Keep
+Leonidas Maximus *Question O.k. no double dipping what about using the same chop stick with dipping a piece of lettuce or cabbage to again wet that same porcine of meat or vegetable, isn't that double and triple contamination?*
+Ralphie_Boy The restaurants that have those huge petri dish communal sauce bowls like that could solve the problem simply providing each diner with an initial supply of sauce and allowing them to ask for more if they run out. The other thing I have noticed about Japanese dining through watching videos is that is also very common to have little condiment vessels of wasabi, ginger, garlic, chili, whatever. And the only way to get the stuff off the tiny serving spoon is to tap the spoon or smear all over your plate. To think of how many people do that...
I hope that the chef who made all these meals watch these videos, because your reaction to the flavors is a great tribute to their work. Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see you visiting the Dotonbori again. That place is awesome for hitting a bunch of different foods quickly. Gotta say that chicken looked like the best thing ever.
Mark, just a recommendation here, there is a restaurant (in Thailand) called Chan Seafood and I have gone there twice. The food is great and a lot of people go there. If you can, give it a try.
Love the look of the chicken shop. Now what shall I eat for dinner... Please try and visit a Chicken Katsu Curry shop whilst you're there. Thanks Mark for awesome videos.
I have my own Osho gyoza experience. Tried their 60 gyoza challenge. I failed, but had leftovers for a couple of days. That part made my mouth water thank you.
Love your videos, the content and quality are excellent! I stayed near Tennoji and ate a lot of Kushikatsu, so brings back some good memories. I just can't watch when I'm hungry
Hey Ying & Mark, Oh man, that whole piece of young chicken near the end of the vlog looked incredible.....it would've won 1st prize in a beauty contest ha ha! Btw, I have a pair of Ray Bans identical to yours which I always wear. Great work as usual guy's. Jim.
I love conveyor belt sushi (kaitenzushi) for a quick lunch. It's fun and yes it is indeed budget sushi but some places are high quality as well. Last month in Sydney I found a terrific place where the plates were $3.30 (nigiri, rolls, tonkatsu, gyoza) and $9.00 (sashimi). Great video as usual Mark.
I just came back from Kyoto and Osaka trip. I went to all of your recommended places in Osaka and was not disappointed! The chicken was worth the wait and it was so very juicy!! I ordered 2 young chicken and 1 old chicken.
It's amazing to eat kushikatsu and yakitori in Osaka, Tennoji. I also came to the New World. Kushikatsu's key is still the sauce. Rotary sushi is wasabi. Dotombori, Namba, Sumiyoshi. He also has a full course of grilled chicken. Thank you very much.
wish this Japan series could go on forever!
Some say that even on this day, the chicken is still releasing flavour.

Yes, I know what you mean. He seems like he has difficulty speaking English. With that said, I still enjoy his Vlogs.
Can someone make a compilation of all the faces he makes when he first bites into the food?
No point in that because all the faces will be the same
+Zipac Zhang they are not all the same, there are 3 faces. OMG amazing smile with teeth, OH that is really good without teeth and the 'yeah that isn't great but I will smile anyways'.
+Tony McSpadden i think the tastiness of the food is equal to how long he tilts his head before speak his comment😂
+Tony McSpadden lol
Someone must like put the food that he eats so we know how much he tilts his head.
You know it,s good when you see the "Wien lean"

Thank you. It bugs me every time he mixes wasabi with sauce. Also he should be dipping the protein part so he won't mess up the rice in his sushi.
This guy is like me:eats, eats and eats and never get fat.
netmatrix75 Not so much,i'm too skinny '-'
+davi carvalho If I walked all day like mark walks and ate vegetables and Tofu I would loose my extra 80 pounds!
Yes some people are like that...do u eat a lot of carv too?!?

I just came back from Kyoto and Osaka trip. I went to all of your recommended places in Osaka and was not disappointed! The chicken was worth the wait and it was so very juicy!! I ordered 2 young chicken and 1 old chicken.
How much did it cost ?
¥1008 for the old chicken, and ¥894 for the young chicken. The fried rice with shredded egg is ¥462 and the onigiri is ¥308.
Japan is a really awesome country, so many tasty foods, it's very clean, and people are friendly.
