@@chanelhiga3205 not so well I got a 2 on the AP exam. I would suggest to practice hard frqs on your own time. My AP lang teacher gave us easy frqs and loads of work. It was his first time teaching AP lang so it’s hard to blame him.
I have videos about lots of AP Lang topics, so once you know what you are learning about in class, check to see if I have videos about it. Also, I have a TikTok (Coach Hall Writes) where I do quick tips videos and answer student questions.
I took English II Honors in my 10th grade year, my teacher recommended to my guidance counselor that I take AP Language and Comp for my 11th Grade Year. I am planning on going to a technical college for a technical certification, should I still take this class, or should I request that I be transferred to English III Honors instead?
I would talk to your teacher to see why they recommended you and ask about the difference between the classes. AP Lang is a helpful class, but it may be that Honors III is a better fit for your future goals. The curriculum varies a bit from school to school, so definitely talk to the teacher that recommended you.
One thing to keep in mind is that each college chooses what scores they will accept, so if you know what colleges you might apply to, see which AP scores they accept. It’s usually on their website. I just Google the name of the school and AP scores. Also, talk to current students in the class. Sometimes the class varies from school to school. It can be good to get a student perspective of what it is like at your school.
@@CoachHallWrites thank you for the response! i'm actually not living in the US, so I'll just be giving the exam and not doing the class itself. i wanted to know some syllabus related disadvantages? (eg. i took AP world this year and it required a lot of essay-writing skills for the FRQs that was time consuming.)
Thank you for this im taking AP lang this year and now i feel more confident for my first day!
Awesome!
How did it go?
