I think the chance to make money on these boxes is less than 5% but at this price it is for high end collectors who will keep most of the cards.
Exactly that. This is not a product if you're just looking to "flip". Even for me I hesitated because of the price but as a collector, I knew I would regret not getting at least one box. I'm happy with it and I even top loaded every single card.

Thanks! Yeah no kidding, I was expecting $500 maybe $600 CAD per box considering the 2020 Dave Palumbo set was $375 CAD at the time. I really can only afford to (or rather make practical sense of) buying one single box.
Hey dude never sweat taking your time, you spent big bucks so enjoy it. Something I do to watch pack openings if its not up to my speed is watch at 1.5x setting, people can do this if they need to. So ENJOY IT my man!

Awesome pulls! This is by far the most sought after box in recent memory! They made such limited cases, and the art just took over Premier as the most premier marvel product

Masterpiece has always have some of the nicest artwork. I've watch a few of the other box release and the artwork are not that impressive
@@cstykes that's the thing with original art, it can be hit or miss. Also artwork is very subjective, I'm sure some art I think looks cool, some may not necessarily agree.

How do you store/sleeve these cards? In a binder? All individually?
I notice they don't fit in most standard sleeve and toploaders
I put them in thick penny sleeves (not standard penny sleeves) and then slot them in 100pt top loaders. I think the Metallurgy cards can fit in 75pt top loaders.

Marvel Masterpieces used to cost 1/3 of the price per box.
Why are they so expensive? Why so few cards per pack?
It is a very limited production run for Masterpieces but I am not sure why such a price disparity from the 2020 set. It could be that there is even less made of 2022 vs. 2020 or that it is just part of the hype/inflation. As far as the pack configuration goes, even the 2020 set was 3 cards per pack (total of 36 cards per box).
This is the state of modern non-sports cards. Expensive and impossible to collect even a base set.

It definitely is getting very difficult to justify these products at these prices. The last masterpieces was $375/box CAD
