Kage's frustration with the drums is hilarious
To be fair, it took me a while to get the drums to work for me as well. XD
Yet understandable
a lot of genshin's mini games feel rushed and untested
So how do the drums work
@@sonofabaguette2202 Each drum has a specific note composition, with the notes being indicated by how filled in the leaf icon is. If it is completely full, you plunge. If it is only partially full, you do a normal attack. If it is practically faded, you wait. Each note interval is indicated by a glowing ring around the drum, so memorize the order of the notes and time your actions accordingly. (The story mode ones are four note compositions, while the bonus ones are eight note compositions)

The only non-obvious npc that leads to betrayal was Enjou.
enjou was such a great npc. under appreciated for sure. genshin clearly has the ability to make a good betrayal but they keep missing with all these sumeru betrayals
I don't play in English dub but Tighnari's new voice makes him sound like a nerd. Very fitting lo.

That's the essence of the character, in my opinion. He was never described as a sassy guy but a very intelligent scholar, talking about plants every time he has a chance lol

This new area had so many visually stunning places and moments. Again. Reviving the frozen trees with the petals flowing in the wind was beautiful. But the giant barrier tree/god was even more magical.
The doors to Khaenriah literally gave me chills. Such a cool and sudden find unexpectedly just roaming the ruins. No explanation really given.
And of course the Rogue hilichurls who singlehandedly raised the hotness level of their whole race 😂
right! and the lore they dropped through the notes around, they super heavily hinted about kaenariah actully being a scapegoat for celestia.. it was slightly hinted forest ruinguards quest.. but now its pretty much confirmed... plus the abyss came to be only after the cataclyst, which means someone else open a gate for those dark mosnters (my bet is celestia's doing, than they blamed kaenariah and off'd them and cursed them, becuz the alchemy incident that we thought caused the darkeness to come, was said to be avoided in the desert lore... so only logical explanation is celestia tried to expirement with some shit to get more powerful and have more control over teyvat, things got sideways, kaenariah sent their tech to help other nations to fight off the monsters & celestia who was already fed up with kaenariah saw it as an opportunity to nuke them and put blame on them, than cursed them so no one would be able to reveal the truth. some were able to survive the curse cuz they were way deep underground, maybe they come from the family line of kaeya and his father who seem not to be cursed but they leave above ground. anyway this is the conclusion from all the notes inside the mechnical ruins XD

I love exploring the Khaenriahn ruins to read all those fragmented things and trying to figure what it all means.
It was interesting that there were different opinions, maybe factions inside Khaenriah, about how they should continue with research, with their nation etc. Feeling that the high ups weren’t necessarily listening to the common people so much. They weren’t a single minded entity.
For me, I think something terrible happened and the abyssal (?) powers started to wreak havoc in Khaenriah. Who’s to blame for it is still unsure. But they had to try to escape from the destruction to the surface but were pursued all the way.
The doors were sealed and the bridge/road to it was deliberately destroyed to make it harder for anyone to come after them.
Khaenriah was the victim of the whole destruction even if it spilled over to the other nations too. Was it some researcher going too far (think Gold with the Rifthounds and Durin) or did the horror come from outside (like Celestia or the heavenly principles), Khaenriah wasn’t the one doing it. They fought against that “true” abyss (long before the order) to protect the rest of the world from it with other warriors from above. Trying to also help people escape as refugees to the upper world. United force of Khaenriah and others fighting on the same side agains the unknown threat. How they later were blamed on it is a bigotry, mistake or a deliberate lie.

@@neanahidden yep there definitly were different faction in kaenariah who wanted different things...! yo the dain lore drop was so interesting... the way she described that he was turning into a monster.... got me by surprise becuz hes a pure blood and they were curesed to immortality.. so like there definilty something we yet to uncover about the curse XD
the things gold did with rifts and durin: this is the incident that was avoided but in teyvat's history ppl believe that this is why cataclyst happened. i dont remember in which ruins i saw a note that mentioned it, but it was obvious from notes that the incident that pressumably caused everything, was subdued by kaenariah and never wnet out of hand, and durin died by dvalin so basicly nothing went out of control xD
what rly interestes me is the lore drop we got from the ginnie liloufar cuz she droped a huge info about kaenariahn tech and than went away (not saying waht exactly in case u didnt do the quest) XDD
i hope they drop more lore faster and that while we wait for main lore they can do side events with lore on all the characters released till now to fill the void cuz we like getting 1 archon quest per 2 months xD

And others have higlighted his problems very well. Before his voice started low and went upwards, now its the opposite.
A downward voice is very bad for "battle screams".
And as a Tighnari main i can't get used to his shy/angsty downward battle screams.
They should either give us a setting to switch especialy the battle sounds back to the old one.
OR let us switch the language for every character seperately between english/jp/cn/kr.
Both would help. I mean: gindi was already payed, removing the old battle sounds isn't robbing him of any money. But i take solution 2 as well.

I mean I can kinda see this. But they did replace him pretty quick and I think it's kinda obvious that maybe he was still figuring how he sounds while recording, not ideal tho.
I think he sounds pretty good during the Archon quest voice lines, probably just gonna take a while and we'll all just think, "yeah that's tighnari" soon enough
31:59 for those who don't know, that might be the door to khaenriah. its called "the gate of everlasting mourning" if u go infront of the stairs and go right, you'll see a luxurious chest that's partially buried. to get to the huge door, climb the walls on the right side.
here's why i think it might lead to khaenriah- (i know not many people will read this but i'm still gonna leave it here)
1. first obvious reason is the huge star on the door. its the symbol of the eclipse dynasty that used to rule khaenriah. u can find that symbol on abyss lectors, abyss heralds, black serpent knights and halfdan's uniform in the last cutscene of the chasm quest.
2. the achievement we get "abandon all hope, ye who enter here" the requirement for that achievement is to "reach the end of the surface" we know that khaenriah is somewhere below sumeru. probably as deep as the irminsul tree. so its probably at the end of the surface
3. we get to that place by passing through the huge ruin guard. also, during the cataclysm 500 years ago, when the demons of dev came to the desert, the pari fought alongside the khaenriahns, one of which was dainsleif. its possible that the khaenriahns used that door to go to the desert and bring out the ruin guards (well the door is probably too small for the ruin guards but u never know. teyvat has its own "laws")
Edit: 4. Someone in the replies also mentioned that on your way there, you can find some scattered notes. Those notes mention that people who had reached the surface where affected by a disease and turning into monsters. They probably went through the door to reach the surface but ended up in khaenriah. This all probably took place during the cataclysm or shortly after the cataclysm

With how excited you seemed about the slime balloon for the drip hilli (which is the only way I'll refer to them from now on), i just want to make sure you know the hydro one kicks theirs at you when the finish with it
The new HP artifact is specially for Dehya! And the Hydro ones are good for Childe, Ayato, Nilou and other Hydro Characters. Great day as always when the Kage uploads.

@@joshbrosh6626 it isn’t, Dehya’s new set is about 1 percent better and that doesn’t account for the fact that you don’t get the 20 percent ER which matters a lot if you want to get most of her damage regularly.
2pc set is good for Nilou at least.

Love this new world quest! The oasis is very pretty both with the ost and the visual.
the door is the biggest lore drop they ever did! i was shocked there are 3 diaries leading to the door, reccomended read :D
there are 2 chests in the door area, 1 exuisit is right of the door in the sand behid rocks
and another one common is at the bottom from the entrance where u can see the door fully

I already loved this area, but after doing the quest and healing the destroyed tree / growing the big water one, it's my favorite area in the game
Hilininja and Hilireaper are the best enemy designs in the game
14:14 I actually somehow did this puzzle and obtained the drum before I obtained sorush lmao.
Just a couple of zhongli pillars and kazuha e and no gadget needed
I got 4 drums before I got sorush lmao my habit of exploring before doing quest saved my time
Me and my friend had the same problem with the drum until I was able to figure it out that you were supposed to wait for the yellow light and then I had to explain it to my friend. 😂
They should’ve added a whole ass tutorial for the drums
this gave me motivation to explore this new area, thank you kage!
the drums all have their score right infront and for a "note" to count you let the soundwave on it dissapear and once it comes back do the next note

Also I felt like a dumbass with the drums since I didn't know about the yellow rings also. I was in voice chat and thinking that was a rhythm in the background I wasn't hearing.
I heard ppl say that the set is only 1% better than Emblem for Dehya but imo if there's an increase AT ALL 1 is greater than 0 (ppl would say im coping here but i just like to look on the bright side of things most of the time)

Yes, his old voice fits him much more. They should give us a setting to reactivate his old voice. At least the battle voice lines. It's not important how he sounds through the story line. But his battle sounds are important. And his new VA doesn't sound like he is fighting at all (downwards voice, instead of upwards).
By the way: they should give us a setting to switch the language of every character seperately between english/cn/kr/jp.
This would help as well.

But I especially got VERY lucky with the weapon banner. I wasn't trying to get it. I wanted one copy of Xiphos and I didn't have a lot of primogenes left [sadge]. Like you should have seen my face when it turned gold early and her weapon appeared. I didn't have to go through the whole "lose pity two times to get your selected weapon" scam 😖. I never thought something like this would happen.
