Just found your podcasts and am so happy about that! I have watched dozens of yarn dyeing videos and love so much that you show the finished product, even with a swatch. Really going that extra mile and I love it! Thanks so much.
Gosh, look how clear that water is !!! This color combo is my favorite so far (well, til I see my next favorite, lol) Love the nearly white all the way to darker color combo. Lovely ❤❤
I love that you swatch them all. It’s so helpful. I tend towards more saturated colors but if I needed lighter more speckled yarn I’d definitely head your way due to the swatching and pairing.
I'm a fellow Canadian and I lost my cousin who was the last of my family 2 years ago. I have no idea why, but everytime I watch your voice reminds me of him❤. Extra bonus when already watching beautiful yarn lol.
Gorgeous! I have a friend who became a master weaver studying in Europe and Asia. When she first started dying yarn, she used unsweetened Kool-Aid packets. I just remember that the Cherry Cola on a medium brown wool not only looked great, but smelled great too!
Another absolutely beautiful colorway. Speckles? Yes, please!! Your stunning semi-solid pairings are perfect! Enjoyable video, always something to learn. Just want to say again, how much I appreciate the way you wind the hanks. They cake up so easily, and are issue-free. 😊
I try to catch all your videos. I love watching and you do have a great voice. Those blues are awesome! Okay I have a new favorite now lol So close to 30k subs!
I absolutely love how you take us through the process and show us each color way worked up and paired. Makes me want to buy EVERYTHING. Fantastic marketing strategy. Canadian living in the US so it’s fun to listen to your Alberta accent. I have family around Lethbridge through to The Hat. Love your videos; keep ‘em coming. 🙂
For many years, I either draped it over my neck or used two chair backs and then used a toilet paper core to wind the yarn by hand. Its slow, but works.😊
I have been binge watching your videos sinceI discovered your channel. I love watching your process, hoping to learn from it. I started doing a bit of yarn dyeing a couple of years ago, and have always wondered how to get the variegated color ways without mud. Thank you for being so generous with your processes.l My one wish is that you had some non superwash yarn in your bases. I really prefer it, especially for garments. Smart move sending Roxanne all that yarn! I will be watching what she does with it!
I’ve worked with non-super wash in the past, and I really don’t enjoy how it picks up colors. Unfortunately I don’t think that’s something I’ll be adding to my lineup.
nice color combining going on with those blues..... i'm more a fingering weight - dk weight knitter. unfortunately it doesnt get nearly as cold in NYC as it used to.... as I knitter I sometimes dream of moving further north, or midwest where the cold loves to play.
I love your dye style. You have given me more options for my dyeing. I am pretty new, been dying for a little more than a year but needed to figure out how to dye more skeins at once and be quicker. I’ve now come up with many more colorways that make my life a little less hectic lol. So THANK YOU!! 💙
Im new to knitting and yarn buying (only have bought from local joans) and I really want to make something with yalls' yarn whenever I get to buy some :D
Love all your dye videos! Would superwash merino be okay for someone with a wool allergy? I'm so interested in dyeing but so many yarns contain wool and I can't touch it without hives and swollen eyes
@@arcanefibreworks I would just have to try it and see I guess. Every type of wool I've ever touched has made me react. I believe though my hubby has merino socks and those didn't bother me. Thank you for your reply!
How on earth do you saturate the yarn with so many colours and not have them just blend together in one muddied colour? And you juggle it with your fingers too yet there was still so much pale in the skein 😲😲😲 do you use a ton of citric acid so the dye instantly bonds to the yarn?
It might be my monitor, but the lightbox and "big reveal" tones on this one are fairly different. The lightbox has Stormy Seas as a more muted blue/denim tone and the 'big reveal' photos show a more green/teal tone. Which do you think might be more accurate to the yarn itself?
The big reveal Video tends to produce a a slightly different color set. I do my absolute best to keep the photos on the website as true as I possibly can and those photos at the end in the big reveal are photos from the website.
This would be gorgeous in a nice pair of socks ❤ Is there a video that explains the whole process? I'm still trying to catch up on all of your videos and gorgeous yarns. Thank you.
I need a real teal blend. My daughter has ovarian cancer and teal is the awareness color. Looking for someone to make her a sweater and beanie with. I'm going to have to check out your stuff
Hahaha funny funny joke 🙃. These colors are gorgeous… it is hard to say which is my favorite but my jaw kept dropping as you went through all the colors with the chestnuts and that yellow… 😮.
The colors are really nice. Also, neat but I'm sure totally coincidental on this one, posting a colorway called Stormy Seas on the anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald sinking. I watched a couple videos on the event and the storm that caused it...then saw this in my feed. Talk about timing!
Love watching you work your magic! 💙🩶🤍 Only found your videos after spotting you on Instagram! 🩶🤍💙 Do you have the acid in the water bath or the dye liquid? Thanks!

I saw this as hurricane Milton is about to make landfall. So had to watch. Very beautiful colors. Only stormy sea I really want to see.

It is nice to hear. Makes me think of him. Thank you for being awsome lol
love your yarns and colour ways you do. love that you do swatches and that you do not have any pooling going on. that is my pet peeve with died yarns.

I didn’t know of your channel until I saw Roxanne open the box of gorgeous yarn you sent to her. Oh my goodness! I have liked and subscribed!
❤️❤️❤️
Me too

Love the yarn pairing part of the videos. Stormy Seas looks so nice like, love the blue speckles.

Always so weird hearing that you “me” has an accent. Never think about it when you’re surrounded by the sameness.
Nice to meet a local from afar!!
I didn’t “hear” my accent until I was here for a bit. My husband calls yours the “CBC voice.” 😂

Love seeing the swatch and your color pairing in the light box
❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful !!! Love you colors on yarns 🐑
So satisfying to see your dye pots!
Thank you!
Ooh river rock is stunning 😍 it would make an outstanding sweater

Stunning. I never used hank yarns because i don't have a winder. But i definitely would love to try

Would you say that blues are harder to nail?
Extremely!
Right off the hop I thought this was Shepard's pie 😂
