Chase claypool has the ability to be a true number one. He can be special. And I hope he takes this opportunity seriously. He has the opportunity to become a beloved figure in Buffalo. Chase welcome to Buffalo go bills.
I really hope Chase makes the most of this opportunity. You don’t get many in the NFL. Flashed a ton of potential his first year in Pittsburgh. Would be a hell of a career turnaround. Go Bills!
He’s not really an underdog tho. There were high expectations for him, had a great rookie year, and his attitude got him kicked off 2 teams. He doesn’t seem to have the character or work ethic to play for long in the league, he’s all about himself.
@@danieljoyce7699 Even if all that is true (and who knows because it's all second and third hand accounts from various 'sources') people can change and grow. These guys are so young when they enter the league. I'm thankful I wasn't under a microscope when I was that age. Go Bills!
@@DennisKapatos you’re right, he’s still really young. Wish you Bills fans the best. I love that organization and I’m just salty because that guy was probably the worst trade I can remember the Bears making lol

"Any opportunity I have to help the team win, that, ...I need to jump on that opportunity, so, special teams is one of those things, and if I am on all four units, then that's amazing, cause that means I'm helping the team in some way." - Chase Claypool. Sounds like he's got the right mindset, if his attitude holds, I'd love for him to be a Bill. Stoked for this offense!!!
@@kyleconnor2759 I agree but if u think abt it when he had success was when he just came into the league to a good team good coach and so so quarterback play! I think Claypool will thrive with the Bills ! He knows this might be it ! Go Bills !
@@brandonday6153 dude if this works out… I can see it happening too. But it’s easy for a guy who’s had issues to be focused during OTAs and feeling good at the beginning. I’m not dismissing the chance. It would be unreal, like having had another high 2nd round pick on a WR this year who’s also a top round 1 talent physically but also has experience.
@@kyleconnor2759 it’s simple he either steps up and makes the most of his opportunity with the Bills or he doesn’t! It’s the upside that has me excited!

I think Claypool has the potential to really be something special with buffalo! With his size and speed he has all the intangibles! And this gots to be the best quarterback he played with !
The talent is unquestionable. The commitment, discipline, attitude and focus have been inconsistent in Claypool's early career. If he walks his talk, he can be a valuable addition to the Bills this season.
Gotta be very cautiously optimistic, but if he’s ready to work and actually pans out, it changes everything for this upcoming year. I would really caution getting excited rn though.
@@kyleconnor2759 I'm excited for the season also I think just like Beasley and smoke he's going to have his best season of his career and I'm excited for Ray Davis
Yeah I am too. Brady has had a full offseason and has the guys he wants. I was sorry to see Diggs go and it be on a kind of sour note, but I was never upset about the impact. We may not have a 1000+ yard guy, but a bunch of 400-700 with 3-5 touchdowns and 1 or 2 who go 800ish with 5-7 touchdowns. Ray will be fun to watch. If Claypool is actually locked in, watch out. But I think Josh will have a crazy good year this year and we’ll be more balanced as far as who touches the ball.
Been a lot of guys with the skill set it’s the mindset that’s been the issue since his rookie year..time will tell I sure do hope so but he could barely get on the field last year
I'd say Mack, MVS, even Shorter have that potential too, Chase just seems the most gifted of the group. Personally, I think Mack would succeed as WR1 in this offense, and Samuel and Shakir as well, despite being a little undersized. Either way you cut it, we have a legitimate blend of size and speed for once, and Joe Brady should be able to create plenty of mismatch opportunities in a spread style offense where you don't need a true WR1. Don't forget Keon is being groomed for that boundary X anyways, and he is perfect for that role. Should be a hell of year, lol...
He's saying all the right things, really hope he excels and realize he doesn't have to many more opportunities .Take advantage of it.Definitely in a good situation.
Chase comes off as a mature, intelligent young man with a terrific attitude ready to give the Bills 110% any way he can. A future coach or GM in the league perhaps? Of course he’s still very young just coming into the prime years of his career so I’m rooting for him to have a great season this year!
Chase Claypool has the exact skill set to be what the Bills wanted Gabe Davis to be. Chances are it’ll be hard to reach that ceiling but awesome if it could happen
Really hope you figure it out young man. What an opportunity in front of you. May be the last. Make it count. You’re with the best QB in the league now. Keep your head.
Might be hard to make the 53. But if he does he might actually be a sleeper good move under the radar. Definitely know his potential and possible upside.
If he develops the ability to let go of his emotions, and leave the past behind, this is the number one. Home is where the heart is for him,...and the fresh start has to include bonding with the new environment, so that was good to hear. I would make sure he gets to the maid of the mist at least once a month, and MAKE sure he learns the story of Annie Edson Taylor. She let it all go, and on her 63rd birthday, went over the falls in a wooden barrel and lived. She had ZERO fear.
He needs to play like he's playing for the financial security of his family. Stop saying your a top 5 receiver and prove it. Prayers and fingers crossed for this guy. Go Bills.
I would have asked him. Do you still think you're a top 3 receiver. I say this because over a year ago he was on a podcast with shady and told shady hes a top 3 reciver.
When you have a guy like 17, many WRs can seem to be a reclamation project. We have seen this playbook in the past few years: Jake Kumerow, Trent Sherfield, Latavius Murray, Deonte Harty, Damien Harris. These guys are decent starters but based on these records, don't expect a career reconnaissance to a star level (maybe because none of them was?).
@@mikep3813 I thought about Beasley but to me he wasn't a reclamation project, he got 678 yards in 2019. He also didn't come cheap either (I think Curtis Samuel's situation looks similar). John Brown's yardage the year before Buffalo was pretty good already too. Interestingly I looked again at Murray and his number actually dropped with Bills.
@davidhatran3160 I don't think either were signed with the intention of being a legit no1 wr, but cheap, reliable options to fill the wr room until they could find their guy. Beasley had 3 of his best 4 career seasons with the Bills and smokes only full season was his best career season. Both were signed for far below what their production was. I think that kinda the same thing they're hoping for with Claypool, just make the team and give them a reason to keep him on the 53. Except with claypool, he's fighting for the 5th/6th roster spot and not the guaranteed a spot like Beasley and smoke.
@@mikep3813 Agreed, none of these guys was signed as WR1, however to me there seems to be 3 categories: WR2/WR3 (consistent starters), depth and special teams (start or fill in a couple of games). Beasley/Smoke/Samuel seem to fit the first one. The guys I mentioned above seems to be either the second or third. Of course there will be guys in practice squad that can be called up as depth (e.g Isabella, AJ Klein or Leonard Fournette). In either case none of the guys in second or third categories moved up after one year - so historically successful reclamation projects are rare. Chase is an interesting case as if he returns to form, he would be WR2 (or even WR1 now that Diggs is gone), so lots of upside there. I like actually like this, a lot like Chiefs with no clear WR1 (really it's 87) but they are all productive.
