Nice to see the youth of today carrying the bluegrass torch into the future . . I played in a band from my home state of tennessee on the festival circuit back many many years ago . . The band was " the tennessee gentlemen " thanks you guys for this video 👍
I just can't get enough of these guys (including Mary.) John and Mo are bluegrass geniuses together. Mo seems to be concentrating on traditional country on his recording career. But, it is with his family and john's that he truly shines for me.
Wiley, the pocket you play on the banjo is fabulous! Playing with banjo players like you is so easy. Whether I play guitar or mandolin it is so easy to lock in the groove with timing like that!
Ass much music that I listen to your music still comes back as some off the best and can't stay away haven't ran in to any thing like sence allison crouse thanks god bless
John making changes to the vocals on the fly after the first chorus. He knows how to get the most out of the people around him to make the song better.
It’s so nice to hear a bass player that pushes the tempo. And that banjo player has a great right hand. Those two things separate a good band from a great one.
I've always enjoyed the bluegrass well played by these young fine and talented musicians. I hope that they find much success in their chosen profession.
@@WileysMusicAndHomesteading Lol, well I understand. My mom had 13 brothers and sisters. We used to always get together on the weekends and jam, but as time went by people moved away, etc., and we just kind of quit. I miss it, which is why I enjoy vids you guys put up. It reminds me of us. Thanks for posting.
@@bluegrallis True but if you listen to the first chorus, she’s singing tenor and Mo is singing Baritone. John goes, I think you should sing tenor and goes Mary how about High Baritone.

great song, great vocals, great pickin, but feel like the melody is lost just a little bit in overplaying too many notes, each song has a melody. without that you have no song, just notes, Still liked it, not loved it,

Mary Meyer! The best!
Yep, pretty and talented!❤
I never get tired of hearing these two families playing together.
Magnum talent here. The Pitneys and Meyers clans have been friends and collaborators for years. We are the winners in this.

More money in country...
It seems like his fledgling country career never really took off.
All great pickers and decent folks. Love it
Pure Class...Loving the banjo player...loving the way he picks it...
My 2 year old loves this song. John reminds him of his big cousin so when he's sad we put it on and he stops crying. And the he goes ahhhh. Lol
From Brisbane Australia guys love your music
Young man on bass doing his part helping drive this group. Great.

John has one of the best ears when it comes to that kind of stuff.
@@WileysMusicAndHomesteading well shucks, thanks fellas! I appreciate that!
That is why I like live music over a studio recording.
There is just something about the combination of Lead, Tenor, and High Baritone that just sounds so good.

⚘👍 A Beautiful Song BY A Great Group 🍞🌹🌺

Outstanding. Looking to hear more!
Had to listen to that one three times!
"One of the Meyers. There are too many." lol You all sound good. Always enjoy when you upload some good jamming.
There are ten total, so they are used to folks not knowing which Meyer it is 😂

Awesome bluegrass on
I appreciate how Mary gets asked to change vocal parts in the middle of her Mandolin break!
John asked Mo to sing tenor!

Should have called the Video Bluessgrass Jam with John Mayer. Would have had tons of clicks :D Btw you are all amazing players!
Nice!
Thanks!
Think you can sing tenor?
I can try,
Knocked it out of the park Mo!
What great music - quality acoustic- venue??
Thanks for posting. Beautiful farm, where is that?
Hey David! That was during John Meyer’s wedding. That is his in-laws farm in Peoria, Illinois.

Great music great picking perfect harmony!! I pick a bluegrass mandolin so I Iove the super pretty Mandolin player - Mary Meyer! Johns wife or sister?
Haha, John's sister. 👍
Listen to that Banjer
Hi - Does anyone know where I can see a list of upcoming performance by John Meyer? Thanks
Great rendition. Just one question, why does the guy on banjo always look like he is suffering thru things? None of the other players have that look.
It’s a banjo thing. Playing with concentration and feeling looks odd for us banjo players. It’s also common among guitar players lol
The star of this jam is the bass player. He’s driving the bus.
i never knew dale earnhardt jr sang lead and played guitar in a bluegrass band.
That guitar break
good pickin
This is bluegrass
John talks over the lady's mandolin solo......+1 nevertheless. He'll grow into being a gentleman one day.
Name of this tune?
Helen
FOOLISH QUESTIONS,YOU KNOW !!
Great. Keeping it Real.
Can you guys figure out who's gonna take the tenor beforehand and stop talking during Mary's solo next time, please.

Love to hear y’all play but the instruments drown out the singers can’t hardly understand the words.
Dude, it's recorded in a whim on a phone. It's not a studio.
