Awesome stuff. In the military we call it "the 7 P's" ; Proper Prior Planning Prevents Pi$$ Poor Performance. And it works. It has to because our lives depend on it. But we also know that no plan survives first contact with reality. That means no matter how well we plan we also know that as soon as that plan hits reality we need to be ready to flex, adapt, and overcome the obstacle. Btw, are you Canadian? Your audio sounds exactly the guy form the YT Polyphonic channel (great music analysis channel!)
What light are you using to light yourself @1:14 ? I guess the one you use in most of your shorts? It looks like the GODOX SL60W is in the background but I could be mistaken.
Great video! The tip about having one timeline for short form is super interesting. I use davinci resolve and with that I am able to have two projects open at once so I use that a lot for copying over text animations and sfx, plus I have power bins that keep all my overlays and sfx accessible in each project without having to import again but I'll have to consider this method now.. I can see how it makes things a lot faster.
I used to create separate project files for short videos as well like long form, but realized it's way quicker to have everything on the same timeline. To be honest, the only reason why I started doing this, is because FCPX doesn't have power bins like Davinci (I really wish they did). But yea it does speed up the process for sure!
What struggles do you face when creating content?
Hit all the key points! W video!
