Funny we're about to lay exact same tiles. To answer your question on cutting them in half corner to corner, if you had time I guess you'd want to make a jig out of plywood that you slot the tile into that keeps it perfectly at that angle

      No problem at all
these tiles are from Mandarin Stone, they're called the di sacchi (something like that) and they are amazing!

Hi! Thanks for making this video… How long do you think it took to complete this project?

Hey no worries at all! I just went back on my camera roll to check start to finish. It took us 6 days but that was doing bits each day not spending full days on it. I think we may have spent 1-2 days and then doing an hour here and there after work and then within 6 days it was complete. I think it would’ve taken about 2 1/2 full solid days to complete. Just because the marble is so dusty and messy! We also had to take a morning to travel to Monmouth to buy more slabs! Hope that helps somewhat and good luck!

Nice video! Will you be using transition strips for the rooms ?

Thanks so much! Yep we’re going to buy ones that match the other rooms as most of them are wood floors 😃 4 - 5 months on we still haven’t got round to buying the door bars! It is high up on my list

you made a huge mistake before you even started......you don't ever use grey adhesive with white marble tiles....always use white adhesive. This is because marble is a natural product and soaks up the adhesive causing 'ghosting' on the tile surface....in other words you will end up with grey staining coming through on the white marble tiles.

Thanks for the comment! Definitely worth considering if anyones going to do this. However, so far it's been down for a year now and they look as good as the day we laid them. Guess only time will tell. Some of the tiles were slightly yellow so if they do go grey I wont be too mad.
