There's a saying between ELFs that Super Junior's songs are a another level because we have Yesung on the adlibs and truth has been told that Super Junior has the best adlibs! 😉
The ss8 stage is beautiful because eunhyuk is the general manager of the concert and shindong as the art director, ehehehe. I might be biased but personally, ss8 is my fave 💙

I always thought that Donghae's voice is sometimes nasal because he tends to have rhinitis, especially in the winter which might affect his voice when he does high notes.
These songs though... Raining Spell For Love is perfect, Love Disease has always been one of my favourite ballads, just damn they're voices are amazing. 💙 Heechul was actually not there during SS8 because of health issues, so that's who is missing there.
Yesung high notes and ad-libs are amazing in all Super Junior songs. Before he going to military service, he recorded the high notes, ad-live and his participation in the chorus. He also sang on a song on this 'Mamacita' album, that recorded before going to army. His voice is the main ingredient that cannot be missing in S.J's songs, as EunHyuk said.

And Yes every member has fantastic voice with special timbre and charisma!!! They put so much emotions to every song…. That’s why I love them so much!!!

Thank you for reacting to their top tier Ballads! If you want to hear their anthem vibes songs you might like to hear Superman (SS4 Live Ver) and The Crown (SS8), this two songs really has the "Super" and "Kings" vibes.
And hearing that you feel connected to them, I may suggest some songs that feel very warm, I Do (SS7) Somebody New (SS8) The Melody (it's from their 15th Anniversary) and Walkin' (SS6). Hope you'll like that!
I love listening to Islands but I can't watching this exact live performance cause of Leeteuk 😭😭 when ever I see this I remember his tragic story it was just so impossible to me to forget and I feel the pain every time I see him in that short hair because it was that erra I don't want to remember It's hard for me to get over it and I am so impressed how he fight that and stayed solid and leaded the group after his lost 😭😭 He is the strongest man I ever knew and he's my role model I'm really proud of him 🥺😭😭💙

Thank you for your reaction! I really like your sincerity and professionalism. Explain a few issues:
1. (1) The year Eunhyuk was in the army, the entire team had five members serving, so at that time they announced that they would suspend group activities for two years - no new albums and MVs.
(2) Eunhyuk participated in all units except KRY. For these two reasons, you feel that Eunhyuk is always there.
2. Heechul didn't participate in SS8 because of his foot injury. Also, the general director of SS8 is Eunhyuk, and that beautiful stage is his design.
Super junior's live version are always always always better than the album ones💙

I don’t know what more I can say that ELF haven’t already said in the comments. They are correct Eunhyuk directed SS8 so that stage is his beautiful design. I think Donghae sometimes gets nervous about whether he can hit the note (he can) but I think it’s just nerves because in some performances it’s there and others it’s not. I am not a vocal coach though and don’t presume to know. I agree he sounds nasal because how he is holding his jaw though. I do believe we told you that Super Junior has a lot of ballads. I love how you were so honest and sincere, a lot of reactions don’t have it so never change. Also that performance for Islands always kills me cause Leeteuk crying breaks my heart

If you want a similar song like Islands but with Yesung on it, I'd definitely recommend you check out "So I" Super show performance, it's an absolute masterpiece from the very first album! You can see how well developed their vocals were even from the beginning!
Raining spell for love, Love desease and She's gone are vocal line song. In the original version Raining spell for love is sung by Kangin, Sungmin, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun + Eunhyuk (Yesung was in the military). Love desease in the vocal line less Kangin, She's gone is the full vocal line.

My All Is In You and All My Heart have the same vibes. All My Heart is beutifully sang acapella live. SJ-M remade My All Is In You in Chinese and imo it sounds even better than in korean. Suju is just full of everything they deliver everything

For some other sweet songs with chill performances where you just see them being happy on stage I would like to suggest The lucky ones (SS7), I Do (SS7) and Believe (SS8). For me Believe is really meaningful mainly beacause of its lyrics. It was written by Heechul and he's the only member missing in that performance so it's kind of more touching thinking of the other members delivering his words for us.

When I attended Super Show 5 in my country I had the pleasure of having heard those vocals live and I swear they are so angelic and beautiful it made me cry. There's something about their harmonization that sounds so much better irl than it already does on recordings/DVDs. Hope one day everyone has the change of attending a SuShow. It's a must experience.

Yes! THANK YOU, HURRAIRA! Islands & Raining Spell for Love have always made me shed tears. Given that individually, they have divine voices, Super Junior, as a group, really sound fantastic (esp for LIVE shows or versions) together.
You mentioned that you can feel the connection from Super Junior, you can feel it because they relate those songs to the things that have had happened and how ELF and their listeners know and understand them. They give their hearts out in choosing and dedicating their songs to ELF.
As for the fear of heights, notice that Yesung is the one at the bottom box from the start, it's because he's really afraid of heights.
I hope, in the future, you'll be able to react to their shows. This is what's good with Super Junior, they are not just phenomenal singers, they are also incredible entertainers, crackheads and CRAAAAAAZY people.

Love Disease is not a K.R.Y. only song. The original has Sungmin and Donghae as well, but in this version they decided to just make it KRY. It's from their Bonamana 4th album.

All of them have different voices but all together they are amazing! and i feels different when yesung is not in that song even members says that. One of the many reason Super Junior is the legends is that they sounds more amazing live than there recording which happens opposite to others. funny you mentioned about heights cause yesung has one and that is why he is normally not lifted up. And D&E mentioned before yesung is a big help with their vocal

I really want to thank you for the journey you have decided to take with Suju and ELF. All of us watching seem to be enjoying the journey to memory lane as well, it creates a sense of community that we need while we wait to be able to go to a Super Show once again (or for the first time!) Or enjoy new fancams if we can't go. The fact that you show appreciation to all the members, that's an indication of a great ELF :)

YES! this is the reason why I love super junior. I maybe had days off for following them, but I cameback knowing this large group just still exist it's unbeliaveble! that's why I choose to stan them now and forever. And indeed this is one of lifetime you will see a large group with 16th journey. I am following kpop since 2009 (from 2nd generation), and this is the only group from 13 to 9 members that still active until now. When super junior still active as a group, maybe they will always be the largest group with the longest active time.
(I said the large group because super junior have more than 4-5 members)
SuJu is definitely a group you only come across once in a life time. Majority of the members came from financilally difficult environment and the economic crisis in 1997 made the situation worst. Most of them entered SM and started their training around 2000-01. As a trial group, they gave their all from the beginning because there's no backup plan. Their drive and crave for success become what made them unique and fearless.
Leeteuk and Yesung are deadly afraid of height but they over come that fear for SJ.
Thank you so so so much for your reactions to Super Junior! They are more than reactions because the way you have insight into the songs and expand on the talent of each individual member is something extra special that other reactors just don't do or have or are afraid to say out loud. It is so unique and honest! Keep it up!
I love watching every Super Junior mv over and over, but watching it through someone else's eyes and with their perspective shows thing so differently and yet there are moments when the thoughts and emotions are the same. It is truly great! Your growing love for Yesung is exactly how I and others have felt since discovering how rare, unique and amazing he is. It is hard to be bias towards just one in Super Junior so I have over the years learned to see and hear each one by one and letting them shine together. I absolutely love the harmony they have when they sing all together.
Continuing to be a fan of them since their debut, I found how amazing these guys are whether it is laughing at their Saturday Night Live skits or watching their first movie Attack of the Pinup Boys. Even now after all these years I am still catching up and watching them individually in dramas, tv shows, movies, musicals, and doing their own things. Their music continues and they are still walking and standing tall.

Yesung and donghae are such enigmas. You hear donghae's voice and you'd think he's straining and would be unstable if the situation is less than ideal, but.... He's not straining and it's just his voice! He is very stable and relaxed when doing high notes.
On the other hand, yesung seems to always be stable and great technique-wise even as a rookie, where he wasnt always. Because of his voice colour and his fancy way of singing, you wont realize he was straining a lot (not all the time) during his rookie days unless you compared his voice before and after 4-5 years of debuting.

One thing about SUJU is they delivered. You know … not going overboard with the song. They do have the talent but they also understand and work hard to enchance the song, they appreciate the message. Thats makes them so special.

Don't know if it's been explained to you but SUPER JUNIOR often dedicate a few songs to ELF, their enormous devoted fandom. And these ballads especially the 1st one in this video is one of them. They love their fans truly, and they cry and feel deeply and seriously, which is how they show their appreciation for the support of their fans for over 16 years since debut.
I also understood you perfectly when you marvelled at the connection you've felt towards them.... it's the most perplexing and inexplicable, uncanny feeling. Trust me by the time you've gotten glimpses of their personalities when they are not on stage or singing, you'll fall deeper in love and feel a bond like magic!
HEECHUL led me to SUJU and Kpop with his amazing personality, the most hard working member of SUJU. He may not seem like it because of his other-worldly visuals but he's handsome and beautiful at the same time, inside and out! Multi-talented entertainer of South Korea. His Journey and SUJU's are inspirational. However, it's his personality that drew me to him, and because of him I love SUJU and all their endevours. Also fell in love with South Korea as a whole, and through HEECHUL I came to know and recognise other artists and personalities.
If you don't know he also has a beautiful, melodious voice that's unexpectedly like a dripping of honey and a gentle caress in ballads, yet raspy and husky when he evokes his Rock'nRoll spirit, and also the most rousing rapper of SUJU. He has his own songs and collaborations and you'll be sweetly suprised.
Anyway, enjoy as many of their works as you please both their individual songs, sub groups and the whole group. If you get bored of music and want some entertainment and laughter watch their variety shows.

Yay im so glad you did Islands!! It's my fave live K-Pop performance ever. If someone asked me why I like this genre I would just play them it. It's so beautiful. The way it builds and is so powerful then ends so emotionally. It's beauty in a song. And that unexpected belt from Heechul!!! It does make me miss Kangin and Sungmin tho. (Leeteuk/Kyuhyun/Ryeowook are my biases, yes I have 3 😆, and this perf makes me love them all even more.)

I personally hope someday, Islands will be sung by all members (at least OT 10) and (maybe) other ELFs feel the same.

I told u d only members that u would alwys see in performances r D&E. xcpt for d few performances they did during late 2015-early 2017.. But they weren't major ones if I'm ryt or u can see on dvd or stages on shows..xct for d fan meeting in jalan dvd..I think that's d only prformances on dvd w/out them..siwon too xcpt for Black suit/ One more chance promotions on tv.. Yup, we're glad that wehear a lot more shindkng as d tym went by...esp this coming comeback, they eve highlighted his part in d teaser..so thankful!
