Seems like the script writer and director are hell bent on showcasing the women as doormats . Really insulating to women. A woman with dignity and self respect will never tolerate this crap.

I think Chinese media outlets is trying to brainwash young girls into thinking this kind of behavior is the ideal and that men are supposed to treat women like this. Cause all I see these days are Cdramas with dumb Female leads with not a bit of self-love & self-respect, ending up with a cheater, ab*sive, narcissistic Male lead. And they portray this as ideal love. I cannot think of any other explanation why they make such problematic male leads who makes female lead suffer so much, have a happy ending with her.
