But after hearing you speak so highly of your friend Jeff, and hearing how active you are in your TH-cam community you’ve definitely earned my respect for what it’s worth lol. Oh, and I always get a kick out of the speeded up parts AS WELL AS the slowed down parts of your videos. How about, just for fun, you start one off in normal speed, explaining your normal stuff, buy-in, etc, then speed through everything that doesn't win a prize then do slow-mo when a prize falls, and wind up back to normal speed at the end. To answer your question, you asked which side you should play..... it all depends on the playing field. Different weights of items affect the flow of the push. Like a stack of quarters will move differently than a row of quarters.
There is no definitive way to answer that because the field is changed by every quarter you put in the machine even if marginally.
But... think of it this way. The heavier an item is the least it moves. So if you are aiming for the left side but it has heavy items and the right side has light items chances are that all ur efforts will only move the quarters on the right. Also lighter items tend to (seemingly) float on top of the quarters. So when you put your quarters in aim for the most to fall off the pusher period. Maximizing ur chances to keeping the playing field even.
Yeah, I agree that you don't need to fast forward. It's exciting AND relaxing watching this at normal speed. Fast forwarding stresses me out. LOL... Jeff still doing okay? Tell him we said HI and we hope he's doing sooo much better!

Don’t waste the money on a super expensive camera my friend. Most people watch these videos on their phone and the normal eye can’t really tell the difference on a phone screen. Invest it in something else.

A strategy thought - does stacking the top field have a bigger effect when the rear-most part of the bottom field is presenting a solid line? Would that maximize the push, particularly when there is a large amount of build-up "beneath" the objects at the front of the bottom field? Sort of clear out the bulk of coins to make it easier to get the prize objects?? Or has that been tried before?
Less gaps between the coins the better
16:42 -- it all depends on how the quarters lay in the tray, if the quarters lay in line, they push straight, if they lay in diamond lines, it will depends on how your quarter push on contact coin.
Josh!! At 32:07, you had 2 $100 chips fall off the right side of the machine and it was simultaneous with the bit coin almost falling as well. I didn't see you hold them up to the camera like you always do and I want to make sure that you got them. Please let me/us know!!
Josh, when the pusher is lined in a checkerboard pattern, the centers of the quarters all form connected equilateral triangles. When an equilateral triangle is pushed from the apex, it distributes loads evenly in two directions. This is why hitting the center of the pusher can push the "two legs" of the coin pusher. You can also see the lines that the quarters form if you look carefully.
A general rule:
Left = Middle + Left movement
Middle = Movement in all directions
Right = Middle + Right movement
Hey Josh! Love the videos! I would recommend getting whatever is winnable when it’s stuck out ASAP as quarters are getting stuck behind it. But I really enjoy the channel a lot. Keep it up!
I used to play these all the time. I remember if I wanted to push something in the center forward...because under the metal slits on the left and right of the game board coins fall that you do not get... I dropped coins on the left and right to get them to equal out and move straight. It is hard to get them to drop on the left and right at the same time....but it usual gives a good push.
Also that big bitcoin case they need to lay sideways but they know that. It makes stuff get stuck and bunch up behind it. They know that it puts resistance on the glass to keep the "buch" from falling off.

I live in Michigan but travel to South Carolina to play golf in the summer. Hope to come thru later this year. Fantastic you tube ideas for your coin pusher, keep doing what you doing. Always strive to improve your product by updating your tech and your pusher wears are great especially the second wave shirts. Adding the soft music is great and the camera angles puts the viewers right inside the action. I watch and have watched most if not all your videos so far don't stop, cause I enjoy them tremendously.

Post two videos at a time? Title it full video then title and other video Quick version then title and in quick version you play it speed up and in full version you play it not speed up. This way we the viewers can choose what to watch when we have time and you make and get more viewers that way.
Nice Job, still see your preference for the left side, but you make it work! The geometry question is essentially a wash since the coins choose the path of least resistance, so if you have open areas, the coins will push there before dislodging another quarter :)

Josh, I cannot understand your obsession with "Bitcoins". After all, they only give you a chance at a game that management controls. Your primary objective should be the cash that is there or the $50 and $100 chips on the board. Your buy-in is steep enough, get your initial investment back plus whatever you can get in profits, and if you have any quarters left, then go for the "Bitcoin". Also, I really feel you are wasting quarters and by putting in 5-6 more more at once. Your chances of getting something are just as good with 1 quarter and your money lasts longer. This is just a thought from an ex-player, I do not want to influence your style of play at all. Good luck.

I’ll be watching him pass up cash that’s an easy grab for bitcoins as the rolls and clips start to slide back 😩😩😩as far as stacking I do feel he gets better pushes but I think he should stop at 4 or 5 otherwise they just slide on top of each other then it’s a definite waste.

The fast forward thing plays against the build of excitement. The long period of no BIG payout or drop sustains the climax when a big win or push occurs. So I say play it out no fast forward.

I noticed the coin pusher pushed it differently depending on the gaps on the bottom level. Like if the coins fall on the left side on the bottom and there was a small gap somewhere, it would push towards the middle. If there was no gap, it would usually push in that area.
I can’t help but think Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” got your blood pumpin’ a little and forced another buy in! Haha. I would’ve done the same thing.
The other real key to playing is when you drop the quarters.
The best way to keep the quarters level,and not pile up is to drop when the tray moves back.
It forces the quarter to stand up and then lets it lay down.
Multiple drops when the tray moves out causes the quarters to spin and viberate and they then stack up.
Closely watch....you will see.
The main thing that dictates the direction the coins will be pushed is the angle that the two quarters come in contact. That is why it pushes in different directions. The hardest items to get out of the machine are the ones on the sides because there is a very small angle that the coin needs to be pushed in order to push the side items effectively. In most cases the coins are pushed up against the wall and much of its kinetic energy is lost due to friction.

It doesn't matter where you drop it but rather how the qtrs line up when being pushed . The best bet is to drop evenly as much as possible to keep it moving forward.
Putting quarters on the 2 sides gets a better forward push than putting quarters in the middle. Typically the side with the least amount of gaps at the present time is the best side to place quarters. You don't need to place quarters in the gaps. The gaps will fill themselves.
I think in general, you can assume coins are going to push whatever is in front of them more than things to the side. On a uniformly laid playing field with no gaps between coins and no holes in the side wall, you could expect a given coin to push the one or two coins it hits which will push the two or three they're touching, etc in a cone until it reaches the end. The problems with trying to predict how a particular coin will push the field are the gaps between coins, holes in the two sides allowing force to be displaced/lost, and the uneven piling of mass in random places redirecting force to less dense areas. If someone out there has studied this, feel free to correct me or expound on the topic.

You know what you could do.... start a patron account. Keep doing these videos the exact same way. Keep uploading the same way you’ve been doing. Only do a second video for your patrons that includes behind the scenes stuff like the manager setting up the machine, panning the camera in the beginning, unedited video of the session where it isn’t fast forwarded. As well as special requests from patrons such as stacking a certain amount of quarters a certain way... you could really get creative with the perks you can offer. But just don’t offer a discount on whatever merch you happen to be selling. Cuz that’s not a prize.
You got to remember when you're playing a coin pusher physics has a lot to do with it so does geometry you got to remember also when you're putting quarters in the back when the coin pushers moving table push forward it's going to move the quarters to least resistance so the more spaces in between quarters that's where the quarters that fell are going to go so if you have a line that's solid across the field from left to right it will push forward
Josh, when the sliding rack goes back and coins fall, stop it and let the coins settle. The vibrating coins will have a chance to settle and not layer on top of the coins already down. Just a thought..

If your objects ( money in bills) are lined up from say 10 to 4 on a clock put your quarters in on the right side of it if it runs from say 2 to 8 on the clock put your quaters on the left side of money that way it helps straighten out and act as a plow
After my 10th video of watching this, I'm certain these are in his garage. There's no background noise, no other people, no heavy reflections from other lights, no people talking, nothing. This is just a man in a garage with a rigged machine that he sets up himself.
Agreed...I've never seen a machine where the "High Limit" is being pushed out only by .25 cents. Come to think of it, I've never seen a machine with this much loot.

With coin pushing, or anything like this really, It wants to push directly at you. So middle for middle, left for left, and right for right. That being said they will always follow the path of least resistance. It wants to push straight at you but if there is a build up or blockage in front of it that it can not overcome, that force is directed to the sides. If you've got a giant pile of coins you're pushing at, it's tougher to move as the force gets directed around it.

I would only attack the middle because of the slots on the sides that gobble up most of your quarters, also can you stop the machine at anytime, if so you should STOP it whenever something drops to the lower level so it has a chance of settling before you start it again!!!

The key to winning...is to get all quarters to lay flat on the top tray....all across from side to side.
Once you have a good even starting point then you can push evenly upon retraction of top tray
It will take about 20 to 30 bucks of quarters to get the start.
You want the quarters to fall to the second tray and also be flat.....this will take another 20 to 30 bucks of quarters.
Now that your evenly pushing you can work from side to side and begin to collect prizes.
Single drops work if your able to distribute them. 8 or 10 drops work if you can get them to all lay flat.

Ive been playing coin pushers everytime I see 1 since I can remember. I am a master at it. Im here in the Eastern Panhandle of West by God. Id love to come and join you. Coin pushing is a game of physics and unfortunately there’s so many quarters in play as well as all the prizes covering the quarters that you can’t see how all the quarters are lined up to determine the best plan of attack to move the most amount of quarters off the playing field while using the least amount of quarters possible. So just throw em in there and try not to let them stack up on each other :)
